Lora Kurusa
Lora Kurusa is a Hungarian classical guitarist based in Auckland, New Zealand. Lora received her first scholarship at the age of 15, where she studied classical guitar at the Elder Conservatorium’s Open Music Academy (Adelaide, Australia). She later graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Auckland, and is now a sponsored artist of renowned Italian- Australian based classical guitar luthier, Domenic Roscioli.
Lora has been awarded multiple project-based scholarships to participate in prestigious guitar festivals across New Zealand and Australia, and in 2020, she won first prize in the Youth Section of the Biennial New Zealand International Classical Guitar Competition.

First time posting here but what the pluck ?! After countless hours of practicing scales, performing in beautiful stage lights, sore fingers and surviving that one Bach piece… I’ve finally graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Classical Guitar Performance degree! I couldn’t be more blessed to have had the most amazing people by my side through it all, so thank you to everyone for believing me, encouraging me and supporting me always.
I’m beyond blessed to be doing what I love more than anything- performing and sharing beautiful music I’m in love with. Having the freedom to build my career on my own terms feels like a dream come true, and I cannot wait to travel the world with it and take you all on the journey. Here’s to many more stages and stories from all over the world!
