Brokenyetblessed (A digital Catholic Library)
His parents prayed for a child—and God answered their prayer.
Saint Nicholas of Tolentino was born after his parents made a pilgrimage asking God for a child. They dedicated him to God, and Nicholas eventually became an Augustinian priest.
He could have lived only for himself, but instead he spent his life serving the poor, comforting the sick, preaching the Gospel and praying for the souls of the departed.
His message is simple but powerful: Prayer should lead us to love, and love should lead us to serve.
🙏 Saint Nicholas of Tolentino, pray for us and for the Holy Souls. ✝️
