🇬🇧 In Sweden, it’s traditional to celebrate New Year with fireworks, toasting with bubbly at midnight, and watching “Gott Nytt År” on TV, which often includes a speech from the royal family. 🥂🎇
👉 Do you celebrate New Year with family and friends, or do you go to a party?
PS. "Gott Nytt År" means Happy New Year!! Remember this and try to wish me a happy new year on the 31st in Swedish! 😉

🇬🇧 Swedish slang of the week: klappar = (informal) Christmas presents.
Additional info: Shortened form of “julklappar” (Christmas gifts).
Example:
Jag har köpt klappar till alla. → I have bought presents for everyone.
!! Don't confuse it with the verb "klappar" which is the present tense and means to pat/pet/beat !!
