🕊️ Why Has the Fear of God Left the Church? 🕊️
Somewhere along the way, the fear of God — the holy reverence, awe, and deep respect for His majesty — has faded from many churches.
We traded conviction for comfort. We replaced repentance with reassurance. We stopped preaching about a holy God and started focusing only on a friendly God.
Yes, God is love — but He is also holy, righteous, and just.
The fear of God is not about being scared; it’s about honoring Him above everything else, trembling at His Word, and living in awe of His greatness.
When the fear of God leaves, sin is tolerated.
When the fear of God leaves, holiness fades.
When the fear of God leaves, the church loses its power.
It’s time to return to true reverence. To preach the WHOLE counsel of God — not just the parts that make us feel good.
It’s time to walk in humility, repentance, and holy fear.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." (Proverbs 9:10)
Let's bring back the fear of God into His house.
