Child of God,

You have NOT called upon the Name of God in vain. The HAND of God upon your life is not passive but ACTIVE in all the details of your life and in your destiny.

His HAND of INFLUENCE made you a distinction in your generation. You are a wonder to many and unpredictable in every season of your life.

His HAND of SALVATION is outstretched over you. There is judgement and affliction for the rebellious and those that oppose His purposes and Person in you. He is your deliverance; a mighty arm and the strong man in adversity.

His HAND of PROTECTION hedges and covers you. You are shielded and covered, for He is able to keep you from failing or falling. You shall bear absolute results in every sphere of your life; in your ministry, family, academics, business and all relationships.

As God’s HAND of FAVOUR mantles you in providence, every thing you need responds to you. Creation obeys your voice and instructions for the glory of His Kingdom.

He opened His hand and satisfied the desire of every living thing. The Lord ALWAYS provides for His righteous. His hand cannot fail you.

Hallelujah!

MARRIAGE SERIES: NO PLACE FOR PRIDE

Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV): “Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Pride is one of the primary destroyers of intimacy in marriage. It stands in the way of honest communication and amplifies what should be minor issues.

You should never be too proud to do your part in marriage, in spite of your partner’s weaknesses. Yes, they might have a problem in a certain area of their character, but the question should always be: have you done your part?

Pride keeps records of wrongs, rehearses offences, and waits for the other person to make the first move. But love is not built that way. A strong marriage is sustained by two people who are willing to die to self, yield to the Spirit, and esteem one another above personal pride.

Humility does not mean that you ignore issues. Rather, humility gives you the right spirit with which to address those issues. It allows you to speak the truth in love, listen without defensiveness, apologise where necessary, and forgive quickly.

Pride hardens hearts, but humility opens doors for healing. Pride separates couples, but humility restores. When you choose humility, you make room for God to work in your marriage. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 4:2-3; Philippians 2:3-4

GOLDEN NUGGET: You should never be too proud to do your part in marriage, in spite of your partner’s weaknesses. Yes, they might have a problem in a certain area of their character, but the question should always be: have you done your part?

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the gift of marriage. I ask that You search my heart and remove every seed of pride, stubbornness, selfishness, and offence. Teach me to walk in humility, patience, forgiveness, and love. Give me the grace to do my part, even when it is difficult, and to value peace and unity in my home. By Your Spirit, I choose to be quick to forgive, willing to listen, and ready to serve. My marriage is strengthened by wisdom, humility, and the love of Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

EFFECTIVE SERVICE: WHAT IS YOUR PART?

Ephesians 4:15-16 (NKJV): “But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

In the life of the gospel, God has ordained a specific part for every individual to contribute to the cause of the Kingdom.

You are not a random member of the body of Christ. There is something God has called and purposed for you to do. This is why our theme scripture says that every joint must supply. It is not some joints supplying while others remain inactive; it is every joint supplying according to the effective working by which every part does its share.

But what does it mean to effectively supply?

For a joint to effectively supply, it must first know what it has been called to do. It must understand its assigned portion, lest it begins to labour in spaces that God has not ordained for it.

In this, it is very important to understand that not every need in the gospel is yours to meet. You may have zeal for something and genuinely see the need for it, but zeal alone is not enough. God must reveal to you that it is your part. Otherwise, you may take on burdens that He never desired for you to carry.

This is why Romans 12:7 speaks of waiting on our ministry. Learn to tarry in communion with the Spirit of God until He makes clearer what you must do and how you must do it. Every burden must find its full interpretation in the presence of God.

It is God that defines your ministry, refines your burden, and establishes you in the assignment that is truly yours. Praise Him!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 12:24-25; Romans 12:7

GOLDEN NUGGET: For a joint to effectively supply, it must first know what it has been called to do. It must understand its assigned portion, lest it begins to labour in spaces that God has not ordained for it.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I am grateful for my part in the gospel which You make clearer daily. Where it is not clear, I have the patience to wait on You until Your counsel clarifies it. May zeal alone never lead my way but may I yield to Your Spirit and His instructions. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

FAITHFULNESS, THE HEART OF SERVICE

1 Corinthians 12:20-22 (NKJV): "But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I have no need of you’; nor again the head to the feet, ‘I have no need of you.’ No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.”

There are parts of the human body that are not visible to the human eye yet they are as important as the parts that you can see and are able to properly take care of.

Similarly, in the body of Christ, there are parts that you may never see. These are individuals serving the Lord in various capacities whose labours may never come into the limelight.

Does this make them less worthy labourers than those we see on the pulpit or in visible places of ministry?

No. In fact, God does not reward positions; He rewards faithfulness. It is possible that the man serving in obscurity has a greater reward than the one who is seen by all as he serves.

This should teach us a very important lesson in handling even the smallest and seemingly insignificant tasks in the gospel with reverence.

In Numbers 3:36-37, the Bible says, “And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto, And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.”

From this scripture we learn that in the service of the tabernacle, even pins had men appointed by God to care for them. To God, no service is insignificant if it is meant to benefit the body of Christ. No task is menial when it is done unto the Lord.

Serve faithfully, whether seen or unseen. Give yourself wholly to the work of God, knowing that your labour is not in vain. God sees, He is your reward. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 6:10; 1 Corinthians 15:58

GOLDEN NUGGET: Serve faithfully, whether seen or unseen. Give yourself wholly to the work of God, knowing that your labour is not in vain. God sees, He is your reward

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the privilege of serving in Your kingdom. You teach and give me the grace to serve with diligence, humility, and reverence. I am delivered from the desire for recognition. I value every task You entrust to me. May my heart always be set on pleasing You, doing all things in Your name and for Your glory. Amen.

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV): “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

The Bible teaches that since we live in the Spirit, we must also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). It is important for a believer to learn how to walk before he runs or flies in the Spirit because this is the order ordained by God. When a man ignores this order, it affects his stability as he grows in the things of God.

But what does it mean to walk in the Spirit?

Walking speaks of steadiness, and consistency in applying the principles of God. It is the place where a man learns these principles and commits himself to practising them faithfully.

If a man struggles with the basics of spiritual life such as prayer, fasting, giving, service, fellowship, and the study of the Word, then he has not yet learnt to walk well in the realm of the Spirit. If his spiritual life is inconsistent, strong today and careless tomorrow, yielded this week and distracted the next, then he has not yet learned to walk.

In this place of walking, character is formed and the believer is trained in obedience. He learns how God leads, how God corrects and how God speaks.

Beloved, before great flights in the Spirit, there must be discipline in the basics. Consistency is the foundation of momentum that propels us into running or flying. So, be diligent and disciplined in the principles of this gospel.

As you gain mastery in your walk, you will be established, strengthened, and prepared for greater dimensions in God. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Galatians 5:16; Colossians 2:6-7

GOLDEN NUGGET: Walking in the Spirit speaks of steadiness, and consistency in applying the principles of God. It is the place where a man learns these principles and commits himself to practising them faithfully.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the life to which I have been invited. You teach me to walk faithfully in Your ways. I am established in prayer, in the Word, in service, in obedience, and in fellowship with You. Where I have been inconsistent, strengthen me by Your grace. Where I have stumbled, lift me by Your mercy. I grow in stability each day, to the glory of Your name, Amen.
