You might be surprised to hear that Octopunk has had new content released every single week since the beginning of March. Something like 9+ hours of tarot, TTRPGs, experimental comedy, and more.
But it's not *here.* All new releases are hosted on our own site Octopunx TV with no ads - and now, that site offers a 3 day free trial.
That's right, you can watch Livesceamers for free. You can watch our entire first season of Breakout Rolls. You can see whatever tf The Outcasts is (if you like The Room, that one's for you). And if you do it in three days and cancel, then cool, you have seen some stuff for free. But maybe you'll wanna stick around for five bucks. 🤷 We still have such sights to show you all year long.
Either way, you have nothing to lose but 9+ hours of your life! Visit Octopunx(dot)TV and see what we've been up to.
#DEHOMECOMING: The Detroit Evolution 5 Year Anniversary Event!
Can you believe it's been almost 5 years since DE came out? The movie's birthday is April 11th, and to celebrate we're hosting an art and community event similar to the #DEArtfest. I'm calling this one #DEHomecoming.
Every day in April there is a different prompt. Community members are encouraged to post art, meta, edits, music, cosplay, essays, fanfic, memes - anything they'd like - inspired by the daily prompts. Just tag it #DEHomecoming wherever you're posting (Instagram, BlueSky, TikTok, AO3, etc) to share the love.
(You can also archive on the Octopunx (dot) TV community site for free, to share with other folks and see their work too. 👀)
Unlike DEArtfest, you do NOT have to post "new" things! Reposts of older work is totally okay. It's been awhile - I'd love to see your favorite pieces from your own archives.
Props to those who do all 30, but I assume most will only do a few :) Including myself. I have about four new videos coming this month to the Youtube channel all tied into looking back at DE. Stay tuned!
And one more thing - the Detroit Reawakening anniversary is also this week. I'll be pulling a few rarely seen cast Q&As out of the archive and making them public, so keep an eye out for that as well.
I built Octopunx as a platform where we can be safe, free, and sustainable, but it also allows me to give ya'll a ton of new shows and films.
One of these shows is Breakout Rolls - where all players are actors, and we exclusively play indie one-shots! So if you're not into long campaigns or Dungeons and Dragons, this is the TTRPG show for you. Three episodes are currently up on Octopunx with three more coming this month!
Real talk, it really helps us out as completely independent creators if you support us on our own turf and not just the free stuff on social. We have a ton to offer free members of the Octopunx site as well, but producing stuff at our level of quality takes a lot of labor. Supporting my immensely talented crew/cast with living wages is of paramount importance (and paid subs are the only way I *ever* get compensated for the editing, writing, direction, and producing of everything we do, which in itself is a full time job).
So if you want to see the first episode of Breakout Rolls for free and then consider a paid sub to see the rest, visit Octopunx (dot) TV. Thanks Octofam!
The Detroit Evolution Blu-Ray edition dares to ask the question, "What if the fight scene was better?" :P
For real, the DE Blu-Ray cut has about 40-50 hours more work put into it to fix up some edits, sound issues, and also restore the end credits song I had to bap outta the Youtube version. I originally did this polish late 2020 for our limited run Blus, but now I'm sharing it with everyone! More than that, you can also watch it with the cast commentary too.
In order to not screw up my YouTube channel by having two version of DE, I've posted this one for free over at our new Octopunk Media HQ site, OCTOPUNX TV. You have to make an account, but again, it's free - and you'll also get access to a bunch of other streams and BTS stuff that never made it to YouTube. That's Octopunx (dot) TV. I'm avoiding direct links cause posts hate them but you can find it in the YouTube description of DE! 👍🏻
