Prepping for Urban Ladies / Urban Lady Prepper

Tired of prepping advice that assumes you own a farmhouse and three acres? I'm Lynn Jordan, the Urban Lady Prepper, and this podcast is for you! Most prepper media ignores the reality of single moms and solo women living in the city or close suburbs—where space is limited and budgets are tight.

With a blend of grit, grace, and humor, I cut through the noise to deliver practical, no-nonsense, prepping strategies for urban life. Whether you’re facing a personal crisis, a major weather event, or the unimaginable, you CAN be ready!

Stop feeling uncertain. It's time to take control. While this train is built for the ladies, ALL are welcome to become better prepared for whatever happens next...

NOTE: I am a real, living, breathing person. I'm NOT AI, just camera shy! I'll have videos with me in them soon. The "videos" you're hearing are my audio-only podcast episodes which are available on your fave podcast platform.

Happy New Year to all!! Good riddance to the dumpster fire that was 2025, and here's to hoping that 2026 will be better for everyone. With that in mind, how do YOU think 2026 will turn out?

The latest article I wrote on UrbanLadyPrepper.com is "The Ultimate Guide to Safe & Fun Holiday Shopping," which offers tips for buying and getting around safely.

Remember, a little preparation goes a long way in preventing problems. Plan your trips, stay aware of your surroundings, protect your personal information, and trust your instincts. These are the type of articles I'll start making videos for in the near future!

That said, I'm curious - how are you shopping for the Holidays this year?

Y'all. It's been a rough couple of weeks as I recover from a flu that came and then went right to my tummy. I'm pretty proud of my tough immune system and cast-iron stomach, but this kicked my ass. I'm not sure where I caught it from, but it was definitely a reminder that you can't let your guard down. Fever, the constant nausea, no sleep, no body temp regulation, shakiness, hunger but you can't eat (I've lost 5 pounds in 5 days - not how I wanted to do that), can't think straight, etc., etc. I haven't been this sick in over 10 years.

I'll try to catch up on everything as best I can, because I'm still not over it and weak as hell.

I've been following the reports that new bugs and viruses are becoming easier to catch and tougher to beat, and this proved it to me. No pride or principle is worth the risk, so folks, mask up, glove up, and swab anything that's been touched by anyone else. I've lost nearly two weeks of work from something that came out of nowhere.
It could not have come at a worse time, but just like you can't schedule a disaster, you can't schedule an illness.

With insurance coverage a constant concern (mine is about to quadruple, can't wait for that sh*t), and people desperately holding onto jobs that are harder to find, your health is EVERYTHING, so take the precautions, and be safe!

A huge, unexpected thank you! 🤯

Six days ago, I posted my usual faceless, audio-only video, expecting the average 50-100 views. What actually happened? It seems YouTube finally decided to give me a shot, and you all responded!

I went from just over 100 subscribers to over 1,000 in the last four days!

I never set out to be "internet famous." I just wanted to share a message that could make a genuine difference in someone's life, and your comments have shown me that's exactly what's happening. I'm so glad my voice—and the message—is reaching more of you. And honestly, I love that you don't need to see my face to connect with it.

Thank you for being here. If you haven't yet, please subscribe to the channel and join the conversation, and follow me on Facebook where I share article info and other things I don't have on YT: www.facebook.com/urbanladyprepper
