Since when did women become so damn worthless in this world that just existing puts a target on our backs? How did we get here? How did everything twist into something this sick, this cruel, this fucking normal? Who allowed this to become part of our everyday lives—part of our vocabulary? Millions of women, alive and dead, have suffered rape, and the world acts like it’s just another statistic. For what? What did any woman do to deserve that kind of pain? What gives anyone the right to take a body that isn’t theirs? Who the hell decided women were objects to use, break, and walk away from?
It’s not talked about enough. It’s not screamed about enough. People love to pretend they care, but when it comes to actually standing up, suddenly everyone goes silent, like they’ve got duct tape over their mouths. Teenagers, women, children—girls who haven’t even lived yet—are being traumatized while the world shrugs. We’re told to be quiet, to be careful, to be aware, like it’s our job to survive someone else’s violence. And why? Why should we have to live like that? Why should innocent people be scarred for life because someone wanted control, or power, or whatever twisted urge they felt entitled to follow?
Why do women have to be the ones begging for freedom? Why has hearing about assault stopped shocking us? Why is it something we scroll past, something we expect, something society practically treats like a fucking joke? It shouldn’t be normal. It should never have existed at all. The fact that people can hear these stories and feel nothing—no anger, no shame, no urgency—shows just how broken this world has become.
Dear human beings—when are you going to wake up? When are you going to admit this is disgusting, wrong, unforgivable? These are human lives. Human. Not toys, not bodies to claim, not things to ruin. Actual people. And if you can’t understand that, if you can’t grasp the basic idea that women are human beings… then what the hell happened to your humanity?
