Happy Veterans and Armistice day
Honor all those who fought and gave their lives for this country and those of who, who lay down their arms in the final hours of WW1 after a 4 year massacre costing 6 million lives in Europe and the Middle East (don’t forget Japan fighting Germany in WW1 in far east Asia on German colonized islands)
Also happy late birthday to the Marine Corps, My personal favorite branch of the USA for their toughness and unwillingness to break in the heat of battle
Even when all odds were against them
The Marines endured the horrible suffering and came out triumphant
Battles like
Belleau Wood
Iwo Jima
First Manassas
Peleliu
Saipan
Tarawa
Hamburger Hill
Khe Sanh
Fallujah
Peking
etc.
Shall never be forgotten in the Marine’s Great History

A day worst than 9/11, Pearl Harbor, Titanic combined

23,000 Men Killed or Wounded in the Bloody Struggle for the Unification of the Country

A Battle to Save the United States.
Because at this point in history, the United States was on its breaking point, and needed atleast one victory to prevent itself from giving freedom to the Confederacy.
Antietam was given to us, but at a extremely bloody price

This day shall not be Forgotten
This is the day which saved the United States, Helped found the Red Cross, and encouraged Lincoln to put out the
Emancipation Proclamation.

Today 80 years ago we dropped the First Nuclear Bomb in Warfare
We dropped it on our former Enemy Japan
This Nuke on Nagasaki is what ended the bloodiest war in Human History
But it caused a very brutal tragedy to those who didn’t take part in the War
110,000 Civilians Killed in the blast in Hiroshima and Nagasaki
And only 15-20,000 Soldiers Killed
It was supposed be an attack on Japanese Military Bases but it instead hit civilians
Today we honor and mourn those who were killed in a unforgettable and Brutal Vaporization
One that would shock the Nation of Japan forever
But today America and Japan are closer than ever
And we have put that war behind us
Never Forgotten
But Never Repeated
