Living in those places, experiencing their cultures, and understanding adventure sports up close has been a unique opportunity. WORLD’S HIGHEST ALTITUDE CYCLING COMPETITIONS – FOUNDERS & ORGANISERS
It is a moment of immense pride and honour for us to see the Mana Pass MTB Challenge, India, featured in a comparative list of the world’s highest-altitude cycling competitions, alongside internationally recognised events.

Located in the breathtaking border region of Uttarakhand, Mana Pass (5,632 metres) represents one of the most extraordinary high-altitude destinations for mountain biking and endurance sports.
🏆 OUR JOURNEY & ACHIEVEMENTS: 2022–2026
🚴 2022 – The Beginning of a Dream
The Mana Pass MTB Challenge was launched by the Ski & Mountaineering Association of Uttarakhand, with a vision to promote high-altitude mountain biking, adventure tourism, and sporting opportunities in India’s Himalayan border region.
🚴 2023 – Building the Adventure Spirit
We continued our efforts to encourage mountain biking, promote healthy lifestyles, and introduce the spectacular Badrinath–Mana region to adventure sports enthusiasts.
🚴 2024 – Strengthening Himalayan Adventure Tourism
Our journey continued with a strong commitment to developing Uttarakhand as a destination for international-level mountain biking and endurance challenges.
🚴 2025 – A Milestone Year
The successful organisation of the Mana Pass MTB Challenge strengthened our mission to promote adventure sports, border tourism, and community participation in the Himalayan region.

What began as a dream in 2022 has grown into a remarkable five-year journey.
The Mana Pass MTB Challenge is more than a cycling competition. It represents the spirit of the Himalayas, the determination of athletes, and our commitment to bringing adventure tourism to India’s remote border regions.

Ajay Bhatt is a passionate Himalayan adventure sports promoter and pioneer in developing high-altitude adventure events in Uttarakhand.
He is the Founder of the Mana Pass MTB Challenge, one of the most challenging high-altitude mountain biking events in the Himalayas, connecting the spectacular Mana Pass region with Badrinath. The event has grown into a major adventure-sports initiative attracting cyclists, bikers, defence personnel and adventure enthusiasts. (World UltraCycling Association)
He is also the Founder of the Badrinath Parikrama Run, an initiative combining endurance running, spirituality, Himalayan culture and tourism around the sacred Badrinath region.
