Mr. Clapperboard

I'm truly honored to have my clapperboard shared in the 2025 book, "Salem’s Lot Studies in the Horror Film 2nd edition". It comes from the collection of Cinematographer Jules Brenner (1934 - 2021). This used to hang up on the wall of his home.

Salem’s Lot Studies in the Horror Film 2nd edition is the definitive book on everything Salem's Lot (1979). At 736 pages, it covers the film’s development and production. A truly beautiful book produced by Centipede Press. Centipede Press is a wonderful, independent book publisher which focuses on horror, weird tales, crime narratives, science fiction, gothic novels, fantasy art, and studies of literature, music and film.

This beautifully bound hardcover edition is co-signed by editor/co-author Tony Earnshaw and co-author Justin Humphreys and limited to 750 copies. There are still a few copies of this hardcover masterpiece available. Below is the link to the book on their website:

Happy 17th Anniversary to Watchmen!

It was released in US theaters on this day in March 6, 2009.

Here's a nice collection of clapperboards and slates from one of the best comic book adaptations ever made. In my opinion, this is Zach Snyder's best work.

Mr. Clapperboard

A collection of clapperboards used in the making of Novocaine (2025). The top two are approximately 11” x 9”. The bottom two are insert clapperboards aka mini clapperboards which are used for close-ups and filming within tight spaces; these measure approximately 5.5” x 6”.
