So I've been going through the comments from my latest video (it's an absolute shitshow but I was expecting that).
and I've tried my best to take to heart the genuine criticism regarding how the last video was made and how many people didn't feel like the video ended on a satisfying conclusion and felt like it wasn't firm enough on a stance.
And that's fully valid. As much as I think an idea can be good, I can still be wrong in the grand scheme of things.
A huge reason why the video turned out the way it did was because I'm super paranoid of not hitting my 1 video a month schedule. Being on YouTube is described as being in a marathon. And if you slip up and lose momentum for even a second you’ll stand to lose out. So because of that, I thought a 1 video a month type schedule would be the perfect middle ground for me. The logic being that it's just enough time to record and edit a video without the risk of the algorithm forgetting about me.
But as the topics got more complex and the videos got longer (my old content was like 10 minute videos lol. now we're hitting up to 20 minutes+), it's evident that there just isn't enough time to write+research+edit everything by myself in 1 month without coming at the cost of something in the video. and for the most recent video, there was definitely a lot lacking.
I'm saying all of this not to make excuses for the way the video turned out but more to give you guys an idea of why the channel is the way it is sometimes
So my question to you guys is, would you guys mind longer gaps in between videos if it meant longer and more thought out videos. Goes without saying that longer gaps mean that there's going to be bigger lulls of silence from my end seeing as how I don't maintain a discord server.(I'm a very private person IRL and I wouldn't talk a lot even if I had my own discord server)
But these longer gaps would help to give me more time to research and write properly the things I try to convey. I'm not saying that I would take forever, but something around 2 months at most.
Let me know what you think and I'm sorry again if the last video didn't really feel that satisfying to watch or it felt like it didn't really say anything. It was a tight rope to walk and in hindsight, I should have spent more time saying what I wanted to say.
I hope you guys can understand and give me another chance.
Hey guys, It's been a while Sorry for the radio silence. I had to take care of a lot of IRL personal life stuff so making videos unfortunately had to be put on the back burner for April. So there was really no time for me to properly sit down and edit.
But thankfully I've had some time in the last few weeks and I'm happy to say that I'm releasing a video this Sunday. Here are some teaser frames 😶😶.
I know that taking any kind of "break" on the internet is dangerous since the algorithm doesn't wait for anyone. So I'm really thankful to anyone and everyone that has been waiting for my next video and I hope you guys look forward for it 🙏🙏

Bad News (sorta, kinda): It's about a Japanese Subculture, that after having spent time editing this video, doesn't have a lot of easy to find footage of. Outside of specific Anime and Japanese TV shows, most of the publicly available footage I found came from obscure Released-In-Japan-Only 70s movies that never got upscaled to a higher quality. So I hope you guys don't mind the video looking a bit jank this time around🙏🙏
I really did try to find high quality footage but there really wasn't any. At least, none on the platforms I used to source footage. Which is surprising since this subculture is a very common character trope in a lot of anime and Japanese media.
