Welcome the YouTube channel of Music Composer Jeremiah Sun
I make music covers for Video Games I like. These are not your average covers, but orchestrations that are elaborately designed to expand and iterate the track into fully developed pieces, while preserving the spirit of the original. It is like chiseling with a toothpick. If you understand why I named my channel The Second Narrator, then congratulations, this is the place for you!

The Battle Theme for Zelda II is almost done! I plan to spend another week to polish it. I went extra hard on this track, and to celebrate, I think I'll do it as a premiere, and we can listen to it together!
For a hint on what the track sounds like, I incorporated both the US and Japanese FDS version together. Go have a listen so you'll be able to pick it out!

My Undertale orchestrated tracks (6 tracks total) are on all streaming services and music stores! The tracks have all been cleaned up, instrument levels balanced a bit better, so go take a listen! I'm going to next finish the 20 tracks for Deltarune chapter 1 and publish those next. Thanks everyone for your patience!

Elden Ring is coming out and I'm excited to play it, but remember another remastered masterpiece also comes out this week! I'm trying to finish a song from this game, and this'll be the first time I go head-to-head against an official remastered track releasing at the same time.

For a bit of a palate cleanser, my next orchestral arrangement is gonna be "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A" and I'm going to keep the voices. No idea how this'll turn out!

The next arrangement from Deltarune Chatper 2 I'm working on is Berdly and Smart Race, which I'm combining into a single track. This screenshot is the point where the tempo changes from nice and slow to "I'M NOT KIDDING AROUND!"

Here's a look at some of the artwork I made to use in the video. To say this has taken longer than I expected is an understatement. My OCD completely took over. I thank you all for your continued patience and support. I've been working on the track as well as the video nearly everyday since the last track I did. I had completely forgotten how to draw, so I am struggling really hard to relearn digital illustration just enough so the art can adequately convey the story that the music is set to.
The video is gonna play out just like how I did the prologue for the first Zelda game. The difference here is that I want the art to look much better than before because I've made a controversial decision to rewrite the prologue story for Zelda II. I felt the original story doesn't really work as a sequel, it doesn't provide enough agency for Link, and barely relates to the original game. The biggest omission is that Princess Zelda of the first game is completely missing in the sequel, which doesn't make much sense to me. As I was arranging the title screen track, I kept thinking of the consequence logical developments that would follow the end of the first Zelda, and it shaped how I arranged the track.
The goal is for the visuals, writing to also match the improvement I'm making to the music. I hope the end product will totally hit you in the feels! Regardless, my prologue intro still sets up the exact same premise that Link has to search for the Triforce of Courage to save a sleeping Zelda, so I hope the "fan-fiction" doesn't throw people off too much.

Link's Awakening and FFVII's remakes both came out recently, games I really like the music for. I preordered LA, but have not booted it up at all. Having heard samples of the redone music beforehand, I feel like I would be too disappointed and distracted by the arrangements to enjoy the game.
FFVII Remake on the other hand is glorious. I did not want it to end. Bar certain story choices, it was pure magic seeing the characters come to life with so much color and expression. The music is insane. I think there are like 10 different variations of the main battle music. It's a bit unfortunate that the soundtrack mostly sits in the background, with not much opportunity to swell into the spotlight, but I guess that's a casualty of modern game design.
Masashi Hamauzu's original music that he added sounds too similar to his work in FFXIII. All that choral and bells instruments that pop up when you see those whispers almost made me wonder if FFVII was going to be merged into the XIII universe.

Hello everyone,
I am showing you guys a possible plan for my DELTARUNE orchestrations. Below is a tentative list of all the tracks I might consider orchestrating, and I'd like to see what you guys think about it. The plan is to finish a collection of tracks worthy of a cover album, which I'll be able to release on iTunes/Google/Amazon/Spotify. I've already eliminated all the tracks I either am not passionate enough to orchestrate, or feel are too similar to other tracks. However, if you really really absolutely feel like I should orchestrate a track not listed below, please comment and make your case! I appreciate all of your feedback!
Proposed Tracklist
1. The Legend (done)
2. Lancer
3. Rude Buster
4. Empty Town
5. Field of Hopes and Dreams (done)
6. Lantern
7. Checker Dance
8. Scarlet Forest
9. Card Castle
10. Rouxis Kaard
11. Gallery
12. Chaos King (done)
13. THE WORLD REVOLVING (done)
14. Friendship (done)
15. THE HOLY
16. A Town Called Hometown
17. You Can Always Come Home
18. Before the Story

Guys, sorry for going dark on this channel for a long time. The majority of 2017 consisted of me basically job searching. I finally managed to get a job as a web developer, so things are starting to settle down. I didn't feel right spending my free time working on music when I could instead be honing my programming skills. Anyway here are some things to expect in the near future.
Undertale - An Ending Sheet Music + Piano-less version
I got really lazy making the sheet music, because it would also involve producing a backing track without the piano so people interested can play along with the orchestra and record their own version. I'll not worry about the timing of the silent portions where it's just the piano solo. When I finish this, I'll upload both the sheet music and backing track for free download.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
This is my next track I'm working on. It's about 90% done, but what will probably take a bit longer to do is the video. I want to add a prologue scene complete with original artwork. I've rewritten the backstory for the game to be a lot more emotional and self-contemplating for Link, which I hope will be apparent in the music.
