💥💥Grand jury returned an indictment this week charging Barry Morphew with first-degree murder in connection with his wife, Suzanne Morphew.

The 12th Judicial District Grand Jury returned the indictment on Wednesday. Morphew was taken into custody in Gilbert, Arizona, according to a new release. He will be extradited to the San Luis Valley to face charges.

💜Suzanne Morphew, 49, was last seen on Mother's Day 2020. She lived in Maysville in Chaffee County, west of Salida, with her husband Barry, and their two daughters, Mallory and Macy. When she vanished, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office said she went for a bike ride but never returned home.

📢Victor Martinez-Hernandez guilty on all four counts in the murder and rape of Rachel Morin, a mother of five who went missing after going out for a run in 2023. Martinez-Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape, third-degree sexual offense and kidnapping. The decision comes after a two-week trial where prosecutors presented DNA evidence linking the man to Morin’s killing.

💜Justice for Audrii Cunningham!💜

📢 Don Steven McDougal entered a plea agreement in connection with the abduction and death of 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham. He received a life sentence without the possibility of parole or appeal.

📢Prosecutors noted that Texas law limits their ability to seek the death penalty when the defendant "has significant documented intellectual and developmental disabilities." Investigators reportedly reviewed the law and medical records and determined McDougal "was not eligible for a death penalty sentence under the existing law."

📢Audrii Cunningham was last seen near her home on the morning of Feb. 15, 2024. She was supposed to catch the school bus, but she never made it on and failed to show up to school.

📢Two days after the Audrii disappeared, they identified McDougal as a person of interest in the case because they determined his vehicle was connected.

📢They also announced that they found Cunningham’s backpack near the Lake. McDougal lived in a camper behind Cunningham’s residence."

😢Audrii's remains were found in the river on February 20th and her cause of death was blunt force trauma.
