Happy Guru Purnima all! ๐Ÿ™

youtube.com/shorts/u2rswEeukw...

Do you know that Guru Purnima is not only of significance to Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains but also to many spiritual seekers all around the world?

According to the yogic lore, it was on a Guru Purnima day that Lord Shiva also called the Adi-Yogi and the Adi-Guru (or the first yogi and the first Guru) started transmitting the science of yoga to the Seven Sages known as Saptarishis at the banks of lake Kantisarovar in the Himalayas.

Guru Purnima is also celebrated as Vyasa Purnima in honour of the great sage Krishna Dvaipayana, commonly know as Veda Vyasa, meaning the one who classified or structured the vedas. One of the greatest gurus of India, Ved Vyasa has also composed the epic of the Mahabharata, which is not only the longest epic poem in the world but also the ancient Indian real epic in which Vyasa was a character. It is said/believed that Ved Vyasa was born on a Guru Purnima.

Similarly when we look at the life of Prince Sidhdharth Gautham, upon enlightenment Gautham Buddh or Buddha gave his first sermon on a Guru Purnima day, in Bharat (India).

There are many such stories throughout ancient history of the significance of Guru Purnima and its connection or close link with spirituality and enlightened beings.

Thus, Guru Purnima is a day to celebrate all the spiritual masters who have spread humanity throughout the history, regardless of whether they were well known public figures, were known within smaller groups, or lived a private life in the remote.

Guru Purnima holds a special place in the life of a shishya or disciple who has been initiated by a Guru. Itโ€™s a day of reverence and to pay homage to oneโ€™s own Guru. However, seekers who embark on a spiritual journey are not necessarily looking for a Guru, their search is directed inwards, towards self realization, or towards the source of creation or it could be that they are not even aware that they are on a spiritual path, they just feel the pull of inner quest intensely. Guru Purnima is a day when these seekers may wish to reflect on their spiritual progress and growth.

For those who might be wondering how would one know if theyโ€™ve found their Guru, when a Guru enters a seekerโ€™s life, he/she would come to know it, if not instantly then eventually.

In general, the presence of an enlightened master or the energy of an enlightened master cannot be missed; and as bizarre as it may sound, their grace actually flows beyond the boundaries of oneโ€™s imagination, mind, or physicality. It is up to us whether we are willing to receive it or not. And if we are ready, there is no end to grace.

For several reasons, I feel extremely blessed on this Guru Purnima; and I bow down to my parents, my teachers, my Guru Sadhguru, Guru Maa Deva ji, Gau Maa and god. Shambho!๐Ÿ™

Only when one puts aside oneโ€™s knowledge, expectations and self-importance, one truly experiences this dimension of stillness we see as the Dhyanalinga.

When offering jal to the Dhyanalinga on a Purnima (Pournami / full moon), I did not know that its energies will continue to drip into my life even now.

A longing will take you there, beyond time and space.

Blessed for the Dhyanalinga Yantra.

Passing good vibes over to you all! Jai Shiv Shambho!๐Ÿ™

Happy Monday all!๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ˜Š
