Sketch experiments ✨
In the first one I used broad hatching strokes, I like this idea but unfortunately not yet there to pull this off convincingly. Maybe someday I will get there 😉

In the second one I used normal hatching and used my finger to create a tone throughout the sketch and used an eraser to pop the highlights. Like this idea and it works of used sparingly 🙂

Charcoal sketches from today ✨
Hands down charcoal is the most expressive medium * in my opinion *.

Also the most forgiving medium, you can slowly build your values and work and re work on your shapes.

Gouache Portrait Study 🎨✨
I am mostly happy with this one so maybe 3.5/5 🤔
But I struggled a lot with painting the planes because the reference is well lit without much shadows and also I generally struggle to paint female references because of the subtle and smooth plane shift. Anyhow let me know what you think 🧐
