Why Does God Seem Silent?
Have you ever prayed with all your heart and felt like God was silent? It’s a challenging experience, but His silence is never without purpose. In the story of Job, God’s silence tested his faith, yet Job declared, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him” (Job 13:15). Abraham and Sarah’s wait for a child taught them patience, while Hannah’s persistent prayer drew her closer to God, resulting in the birth of Samuel. Even Jesus experienced silence on the cross, but it led to the greatest victory—our salvation.
God’s silence doesn’t mean His absence. It’s a time to grow, trust, and seek Him more deeply. As Isaiah 30:15 says, “In quietness and trust is your strength.” If you’re facing silence, hold on—He’s preparing you for something greater. Comment “Amen” if you believe this, and share how you’ve found strength in these moments.
