To celebrate the anniversary, DEAD ISLAND 2 is featuring a collaboration with QUARANTINE ZONE Game, Dead Island Series bundle launch, and Steam mid-week deals.

- QUARANTINE ZONE CROSSOVER EVENT
Quarantine Zone game will introduce a new Dead Island 2 crossover event free update, available to all players. The update includes five new NPCs. There will also be a Dead Island 2 + Quarantine Zone bundle available on Steam.

- DEAD ISLAND SERIES BUNDLE LAUNCH
Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, and Dead Island 2 are now available as a bundle on PlayStation and Xbox.

- STEAM MID-WEEK DEALS (April 20th–27th)
Up to 90% off Dead Island 2 and discounts across the entire franchise.


In September last year, Dambuster Studios confirmed they were already working on the next "Journey" of the Dead Island series. However, they haven’t revealed whether it will be a new DLC for Dead Island 2, Dead Island 3, or maybe... a remake of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide(?). (Slide 6)

Whatever it is, we can’t wait for it!

Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Film Logo Revealed

The official logo for the new Resident Evil film directed by Zach Cregger was revealed for the first time during the ‪@sonypictures‬ panel at CinemaCon 2026. Zach Cregger also appeared at the event. Sony Pictures also shows an exclusive teaser from the film to the event audience.

According to DiscussingFilm, the teaser begins with a lone man portrayed by Austin Abrams, stepping into an abandoned house on a cold winter night. He uses a phone to leave a message for his girlfriend, which plays throughout the teaser, as he’s shown on the run exploring eerie houses, dark sewers, and empty streets.

Zach Cregger aims to stay true to the game’s tone and mechanics with a survival horror experience that feels “closer to the game's roots.”

This new Resident Evil film will be released on September 18, 2026, and is directed by Zach Cregger, based on the video game series from Capcom.

The main cast revealed so far includes Austin Abrams, Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Cherry, and Kali Reis.

The CAPCOM Pop-Up Store returns to Malaysia this year. Following last year’s event at LaLaport Mall, Kuala Lumpur, the pop-up store will now take place in Johor Bahru.
