Cleaning Stubborn Pet Urine Stains from your carpet!
As pet owners, we must face the inevitable challenge of removing those pesky urine stains from our carpets. It's a tough battle, but we have some insights that might help you win it!
***The Science Bit ***
- Urine Stains can be particularly stubborn due to their pH level. Fresh urine is typically acidic, with a pH of 5 - 6, but as it dries, it becomes alkaline, with a pH that can reach up to 10-12. To effectively clean urine, it is recommended to use a solution with a pH of 1.0-2.0, as it can help break down the alkaline salts.
*** Act Fast*** - The sooner you tackle the stain, the better!
*** A word of Caution***
- It is possible for the urine stain to set in too deeply if it has been on the carpet for a long time. Even the best cleaning methods may not completely remove the stain in such cases. It is recommended to take immediate action against stains.
