This year's CSE paper was unconventional with unexpected question pattern, but nonetheless, you can't ask from UPSC to put questions in your favorite format, you have to prepare for whatever they ask because syllabus is open ended. And as there is huge competition (around 10 lakh candidates fill prelims form for around 1000 seats), UPSC will keep coming with such "surprise" questions and formats.

It has been a year since I started this initiative, as a fellow civil services aspirant/candidate, I know it is not enough and there needs to be done multiple things, which I aspire to try, especially, to cover static portions. I wish I could get enough time and resources to cover it, but still, better a few than nothing.
