1. Formed in Manila in 1994, P.O.T. came up just as the first wave ng Pinoy alternative rock was starting to fade — and they hit the scene like a fireball at exactly the right time! Karl Roy had already been building serious underground cred fronting Advent Call, but he wanted something groovier and more soulful — and that was part of the reason that P.O.T just hit different! They swept the 1997 NU Rock Awards — Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Bassist of the Year, at Drummer of the Year — lahat sa iisang gabi! The band's recognition even extended to the 1998 Katha Music Awards with another Best New Artist nod, so the love from the industry was very real.🔥

2. Born on May 25, 1968, si Karl Roy ay kapatid ni Razorback frontman Kevin Roy — one of OPM's rock royalty families! Sa likod ng wild rock star image ni Karl, kilala siya ng mga kaibigan bilang isang spiritual, philosophical na tao na mahilig sa yoga at solitude. He also battled serious health issues behind the scenes, including major surgery for an infected heart valve. He passed away on March 13, 2012 at 43 — but his legacy still remains! 👑

3. Isang dekada matapos pumanaw si Karl Roy noong 2012, bumalik ang P.O.T. sa entablado sa 2022 — at ang nagbuhay muli sa banda ay walang iba kundi ang mga original na miyembro na sina Mally Paraguya at Ian Umali, na nag-recruit ng bagong boses na si Red dela Peña para punan ang lugar ni Karl! They made their first live appearance in almost 16 years on June 25, 2022 at The 70's Bistro — the same legendary venue na maraming alaala sa kanilang history. 1. Bago pa man naging Razorback, "Outrider" muna sila — at ang kanilang very first gig? Big Bang club, Alabang. Tatlo lang sila noon — si Tirso Ripoll, Miguel Ortigas, at David Aguirre — kasama si Junus (kapatid ni Tirso) sa bass at si Isabel Lozano sa vocals, at ang isa sa kanilang pinakaunang kanta ay "Highway to Hell" ng AC/DC. Mga magkaibigan sila since 1982 at nagkakilala sa La Salle Green Hills, nag-aral sa iisang guro sa Yamaha School of Music (Benjie Zialcita), at regular na nanonood ng mga OPM legends — sina Pepe Smith, Sampaguita, at Edmund Fortuno — sa Electra Bar, Makati. 🤘

2. Mula Outrider, naging Razorback, at ang nagbigay sa kanila ng official na kickstart ay isang Battle of the Bands ng Upsilon Sigma Phi at NU107, na kanilang pinanalo. Naging regular fixture na sila sa mga pinakasikat na underground rock bars ng 90s Manila — Kalye, Club Dredd, Peligro, at marami pang iba. Mula sa mga cover songs ng Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, at ng sariling ating Juan de la Cruz Band, lumago sila into one of the most iconic acts sa buong OPM rock scene — eventually opening for international giants na Metallica, Silverchair, at Rage Against the Machine sa malalaking Manila stages. Ngayon, 35+ taon na sila sa industriya — patuloy na nag-rerelease ng bagong music, gumagawa ng live shows, at nagbibigay-inspirasyon sa susunod na henerasyon. Razorback forever! 🖤

3. "Payaso" is actually about wearing masks to hide your true feelings. Tungkol ito sa isang performer na napipilitang ngumiti sa harap ng lahat kahit sa loob niya ay gusto na niyang umiyak — at ang performance niya ay isang "eskapo sa hirap at sa sakit ng mundo." Released noong 1997 bilang parte ng Beggar's Moon, na-nominate ang "Payaso" para sa Best Rock Song at ang album mismo para sa Best Rock Album. Produced ni Diego Garrido, ito ay isa sa mga kanta na nagpapatunay kung bakit ang Beggar's Moon era ang isa sa pinaka-defining chapters sa mahabang kasaysayan ng Razorback. 🎭

Nag-audition siya para sa Pinoy Dream Academy noong August 27, 2006 at naging Grand Star Dreamer ng show — a win that launched her straight into a recording deal with Star Music and set the foundation for everything that followed. After 17 years with Star Music, Yeng acquired the rights to her entire catalog — including "Cool Off" — becoming the owner of her own music legacy! Patunay na hindi siya tumitigil — she owns her past and is boldly writing her future 💪

2. Co-written ni Yeng kasama si Davey Ryan Edward Langit, "Cool Off" was released in 2007 under ABS-CBN Film Productions and Star Music, as part of her debut album Salamat — isa sa pinaka-unang songs na nagpatunay ng kanyang songwriting power at ng bagong era ng kanyang career na sisimulan niya! 1. fitterkarma started out as a solo project by Joao De Leon noong 2019 under the name "Joao". The rebranding to "fitterkarma" happened in 2023, partly because the name "Joao" was more difficult to pronounce or market. The band name "fitterkarma" is a Radiohead tribute — pinagsama ang titles ng dalawang tracks mula sa iconic OK Computer album ng 1997: "Fitter Happier" at "Karma Police." 🎵

2. Benilde-born and bred! The band was formed in 2023 by students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's music production program — Joao De Leon, Soph Miranda, LORY at si Ders Sayas na patuloy pa ring nag-aaral doon. Literal na pinag-aralan ang craft nila, and it shows in every song! 🎓
