My recent motorcycle accident has become a huge financial burden for Elizabeth and I. The medical bills are being covered by insurance, but I wont be able to walk for the next six months, and am not expected back at work for up to a year. So, I'm not bringing in my regular income, and am struggling to cover our regular expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries. If you're able to help out even a little, it would mean so much. Two weeks ago, I was hit by an unlicensed 15 year old kid in a Camaro on my way home from work while riding my brand new cbr650r. I had to be Life-Flighted to the Mercy Trauma Center in Springfield, MO. My life was saved by high quality safety gear and a team of world-class surgeons. I can barely use my phone but will update everyone as I go through recovery for the many injuries I sustained, which will be quite long and difficult. I just want to thank everyone who heard about what happened and prayed for me. I think you made a big difference. God bless all of you.
In my latest video on doing a compression test, I mentioned that I had lost one of the screws to the electronics box lid about 15 years ago. Actually, it was almost 18 years ago, now that I'm looking at my records. I knew I dropped it below the e-box, but could never see it or reach it with anything, and replacement screws are $15 each, so I never bought one. Last night when I was editing the video, I had the bright idea to look down there with my new borescope, and there it was! Just waiting for me all this time! I needed a wire hanger to push it out to a spot where I could reach it, then used a nabber-grabber to pull it out, which sounds easy but it took me about 30 minutes to get everything lined up. I also found a strut tower cap I dropped down there eight years ago. Score! I must say, I am damn proud of myself for this one.
I spent the last two days making a video about how to test automotive relays. Tonight, I came across a wealth of information that revealed how complex the topic really is, and realized that most of the information I've learned is actually wrong in a lot of situations, so I don't think I'll be publishing this one. Feeling pretty defeated.
Also, here are the results of the poll I posted about putting background music in my videos. Bah!
