Monetizing your blog (without a following) ✨

Real talk: you do not need to wait until you have a following to monetize—and you shouldn't.

While influencer partnerships, ad revenue, and affiliate marketing take time, here are a few ways to make money even as a newbie: ⬇️

📸 Pitch brands content (not influence). This could be things like UGC partnerships or licensing photos or video footage.

✍️ Freelance write. Write articles for magazines, online publications, and even brands and tourism boards. Bonus: You'll typically also great a byline, which is great for brand building and SEO!

🎥 Sell services. As a creator, you have skills that are valuable to brands—like writing, SEO optimization, and Reel creation. Consider what you can offer that would save other businesses time and boost their revenue.

📚 3) Launch a product. Then use ads and collaboration to sell quickly. By collaboration, I mean:
*cross-promoting with other creators/brands
*building an affiliate program so others promote you
*listing your product on platforms where your buyers hang out (like Viator for tours and Etsy for digital products)

I talk a lot about the power of collaboration as a way to grow quickly.

There are so many different collaboration options, but one idea is to do an interview with another creator in your niche or a complementary niche. ✨

You can do this a few ways:

🎥 Pre-recorded interviews
🙋‍♀️ Co-hosted live Q&As

💡Tips:

-Create a related blog post to pair and embed the video.
-Create a video for each of your channels/platforms and cross-promote. You might even cover a 2-part strategy or series to encourage people to watch the other video.
-Have a set amount of promotional deliverables for each creator (so that you’re truly benefiting from strength in numbers!).
