🇮🇳 Operation Sindoor: Key Highlights
On May 7, 2025, India launched precision airstrikes targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, following the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 27 civilians.

The strikes focused on areas including Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muridke, aiming at infrastructure linked to groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Pakistan condemned the strikes as an "act of war," alleging the downing of five Indian aircraft and initiating artillery shelling across the Line of Control, resulting in additional casualties. Global powers, including the UN, US, China, and Russia, have urged both nations to exercise restraint amid escalating tensions.

India conducted "Operation Abhyaas," a large-scale civil defense drill across 244 districts, simulating emergency scenarios in anticipation of potential escalations.
