🌸 Kunti Devi was the noble mother of the Pandavas in the Mahabharata. Born as Pritha, the daughter of King Shurasena, she was adopted by her childless uncle Kuntibhoja, and thus came to be known as Kunti.

In her youth, she showed deep devotion by serving Sage Durvasa, who blessed her with a boon — a mantra to invoke any god and have a child by them. Out of curiosity, she tested it and invoked Surya, the Sun God, who blessed her with a son, Karna. Fearing dishonor, she set the baby afloat in a river.

Later, Kunti married King Pandu, and used the mantra again to bear three sons: Yudhishthira by Dharma (Yama), Bhima by Vayu (Wind), and Arjuna by Indra (King of Gods). She also helped Madri, Pandu’s second wife, to use the mantra to bear twins Nakula and Sahadeva from the Ashwini twins.

Throughout the Mahabharata, Kunti stands as a symbol of sacrifice, wisdom, and resilience. Her emotional strength guided her sons through hardships, and her decisions, though painful, were always for their greater good.
