Recently, I've been working on a new channel dedicated to video essays about game design, a passion of mine. While this channel is important to me and I’ll continue to upload here, I felt that a separate channel was better suited for these types of videos.
I apologize for the lack of uploads these past few weeks. Due to exams, I was unable to spend as much time working on new videos as I would have liked. Fortunately, a new video will be going live soon, and uploads should become more frequent in the coming weeks.
There are a few other things I want to talk about quickly as well. First, you may have noticed I haven't uploaded a Devlog for Gearflux in a while. Don't worry, the project is not cancelled. Regular Devlogs will start back up again soon. However, due to exams, I was unable to work on the project, so progress has been slow.
The second thing I wanted to talk about is the future of the content on this channel. I know many of you have subscribed primarily for Minecraft development content, but after experimenting with a couple of different video styles, I've found more enjoyment in making essay-style videos, such as my Conway's Game of Life video. This doesn't mean that I will no longer be doing Minecraft dev, but I am going to be switching up the channel a little and focusing more on video essay-style content. I will continue Gearflux Devlogs and other development-type content, but the primary focus of the channel will shift to more essay-style content about game design and programming in general.
Thank you to all of you who choose to stick with my channel through this change, and happy holidays!
I'm thinking of expanding the scope of the channel a little bit outside of just Minecraft plugin and server development. What topics would you like to see more of? (if any are not listed leave them in the comments)
Hello everyone! I'm excited to announce that, thanks to your incredible support, memberships are now available on the channel! If you're interested, becoming a member is just another way to support what I create, with perks like custom loyalty badges, emojis, and early access to new videos. But please remember, it's completely optional. Your viewership and engagement are already amazing forms of support. A massive thank you to everyone for helping the channel reach this milestone!
Hello everyone! After many requests, I have finally set up a Discord server for the channel! Not much is happening there yet but in future, I will post more regular updates on Gearflux as well as new videos. For anyone interested in joining here is the invite link: discord.gg/x6vzUxpSVX
Sorry everybody for the lack of posting. A new video will be out soon! It's a bit of a random one but I think some people will find it interesting. The upload after that should be the next episode in the Gearflux Devlog series. Also, I just want to say a big thank you to all of the new subscribers! Thank you all for the big 1,000!
For the Devlogs, do most of you want to see more about how the coding and infrastructure work, or are you more interested in hearing about how I design the mini-games and what my thought process is?
Do people want more tutorials on basic plugin stuff like items, commands, and events, or would you rather have more complex topics like NMS (Packets), ProtcolLib (More packets), and maybe even some database stuff?

Based on my last poll, many of you want more general programming-focused videos. What kind of programming videos would be most interesting.
