Help!!! My mother has had chronic kidney disease for over 40 years due to a misprescribed drug that trashed her kidneys. I had to quit my new job at the DMV because I couldn't sit in other people's cars not knowing what I was catching and bringing home to potentially infect her. I didn't qualify for unemployment--I wasn't there long enough to make enough money to qualify in the first place.
So, I quit. It was an easy choice to make, but it hasn't been easy. Thankfully the kidney is working well and we're very, very grateful to the donor. Mom and I would both like to thank the family of the man who gave my mother life.
Any money would be appreciated, but certainly not expected. I'm not sure how this fundraising will go, but any little bit helps pay her copays for medications, groceries, and rent.
Thank you very much for reading my little blurb. I hope you have an awesome new year, from my family to yours. This isn't an easy thing to post, but I will not let my pride get in the way of any potential resource while I'm looking for a job.
