Welcome to North Wales Boats and Planes.
We live in North Wales and we regularly spend time at different ports and airports/air bases photographing the boats, ships and planes. North Wales is an amazing spot for viewing these incredible machines.
There are many harbours and ports along our coast. We see ferries on their way to and from Ireland, there are cruise ships, platforms, tugs, tenders, sailing boats, hovercraft and more.
North Wales also has a range or airports, and bases with both military and civil aircraft. We also have the Rhyl airshow. There's a regular flow of jets and helicopters moving through the The Mach Loop, as well as the Hawks and Texans that train over on Ynys Môn (Isle of Anglesey).
Caernarfon airport hosts the North Wales Air Ambulance (Ambiwlans Awyr Gogledd Cymru) and between the ports and the airports, there's also SAR. Lifeboats and Coastguard operations.
We are aiming to upload as regularly as possible.

Recently we were lucky enough to have been at the RAF Valley Families day again, and as usual, it was a superb event. Over the next few weeks, we will be bringing you videos from that event, which includes the full day (video), a Fairey Swordfish display, and the RAF Falcons doing a low cloud level parachute drop.

Today we went over to RAF Valley to catch the Hercules' farewell/retirement tour/flight. We have never seen it this busy at RAF Valley, and it's understandable. We have seen a lot of retirements (Tornado / Harrier / Sea King), but we are going to especially miss these stunning aircraft.

Red Arrows leaving from RAF Valley yesterday, to display at the Isle of Man TT. It was a really warm day out, with lots of heat haze making it difficult to film, but the video and shorts will be online soon.
