Hey! We are Charlotte and Carlos, a couple who moved from South London to an abandoned farm in the Portuguese mountains. Follow us as we document adapting to our new lives here in rural Portugal. From farm renovation, to local food. Sightseeing, to growing our own food. There is going to be a lot of ups and downs and we hope you join us along for the ride!

Bom dia everyone. We are currently re-uploading our latest video due to sound issues. We are not quite sure what happened as it appears some strange AI voice was put over our video and is not on the original file or if we watch our end. Hopefully this will fix the issue and we can all enjoy layer today with out strange robot voices 😅

Hey guys! We have had another unexpected turn of events this weekend so are hoping to get our next video out for Tuesday/Wednesday. As you can see we have kind of had our hands full.
Everyone meet Zé!
So as many of you know we had this little guy abandoned near our farm yesterday. He is just the sweetest little guy who wants cuddles all the time, loves cats and has the most gentle nature. Unfortunately due to funds, space and the fact we already have 4 nutty podengos we are unable to keep him and he will be making his way to the shelter tomorrow in Fundão. He doesn’t have a chip and a slight balding round his neck where we think he had been tied up before but seems to be a very well behaved dog so far.
If you know anyone who may want a dog then let us know or from tomorrow get in contact with fundão shelter. This guy really deserves a good home after everything he has been through. 💔🐕

Bom dia! This weeks video will be out on Wednesday as we are catching up on work after a family visit last week. We got lots of second hand goodies and furniture from our old flat that we will show this week. We also saw some beautiful autumn scenery and took a little trip to the mushroom festival. Bom dia! So last week we were not only hit with storms but both of us came down with the flu during the middle of olive harvest. Because of this we have decided to not post a video this week and get some rest. However we have been filming our olive harvesting efforts and did make it to a press last night. We should be collecting our oil tomorrow and promise to share the results of our efforts next Monday with you all. See you next week!

Bom Dia everyone 😁 We have had a bit of a hectic week this week as Carlos has landed himself a new job! Woop woop!
However this does mean we are running a bit behind on video stuff as we are are getting used to his new hours and what our weeks will look like.
We have made a little cooking video from our end of summer harvests as we have had many comments recently about recipes for our food we make 😋
We will post it mid-day Wednesday then be back to Monday as normal next week.

Unfortunately we will not be posting a video this week as Charlotte had an accident while working in the garden this week and has had to spend a couple of days in bed after a trip to hospital. She is ok and just needed some rest in bed with these cuties ❤️🐱🐶will be back next week as usual (oh and she caught it all on camera 🤦♀️) See you next Monday! 🌞🇵🇹🌻🌱
