Rooted & Risen Within

The word spoken in a language of condemnation, spite, disgust, or accusation does not bring about the desired end. It does not communicate the heart and intent of the father. The goal of the word is not to break people's spirits, but to free them from the spirit that is trying to break them. Our countenance, tone, timing, attitude of heart, and intentions all play a part in the spirit that we speak out of. The Spirit of YHWH speaks truth in love and brings a conviction of that love. When we speak out of a contrary spirit, we sow destruction into the spirit of the hearer. I am thankful that YHWH understands and speaks the language of the soul. He perceives the intentions that empower our words, and His love interprets it all. I pray that He teaches us to speak and interpret the language of a person's heart to communicate the language of His love.

Rooted & Risen Within

Hebrew family: More than one thing can be true at the same time. Life has layers, one truth does not always cancel out another.

We can understand that January 1 is not the SCRIPTURAL new year and still acknowledge that we are moving into a new civil CALENDAR year. We already do this in other areas of life, a school year does not start Jan 1st or in the Spring but in Aug / Sept. A fiscal year for Gov’t or companies might start in June or Oct. Different calendars exist for different purposes. That does not threaten truth, it simply means we are dealing with more than one system at once.

It’s interesting when people try to act like the calendar year is not happening at all, like 2026 is imaginary because it is not the biblical new year, while at the same time shifting to write “2026” on documents, checks, forms, planners, etc. That is a type of dissonance and denial of reality. And it has folks speaking in ways that are honestly unnecessary.

It is completely understandable to not embrace cultural traditions that fall outside of your personal convictions or practices. No one is required to celebrate, party, or attach spiritual meaning where they do not believe it belongs. Disengaging from the holiday and its traditions is legit, but feeling the need to deny that our current functional calendar is changing and condemning and clowning others is getting real old.

Yes, it is true that winter is not a natural season for launching. It is a season for slowing down, resting, reflecting, and preparing. Just like night is not for launching, but for renewal and rest before the morning light. Do some choose to launch anyway? Sure, that is their choice. We all resist what is natural/seasonal at times, just like some people work nights to feed their families.

I personally choose to resist the cultural rhetoric and align with nature when I can. So I do not move with spring renewal energy in January. But I can also acknowledge and honor completion of a phase of time that I lived within. And I can say Happy 2026 to people and it doesn’t violate scripture, truth, or integrity.

Maturity is being able to hold more than one framework at the same time. Immaturity demands one angle only and calls everything else compromise. Until we learn nuance, we will keep mistaking our rigidity for righteousness.

So I close my 2025 calendar year in gratitude and enter the 2026 calendar year in gratitude. I will honor this winter season of energy conservation and hidden growth, and allow this time to build momentum for the blossoming and renewal of spring.

Blessings & Peace to all in 2026! Whatever cultural traditions or convictions you may hold, may it all lead to greater maturity in love, light, and truth. 💜👑

Rooted & Risen Within

The physical commands in Torah were never meant to be an end in themselves. They are signposts pointing us to eternal realities. Every instruction was designed to bring us beyond the surface into Spirit, into Truth, into the very heart and nature of YHWH. To stop at the act is to remain in the shadow instead of stepping into the reality it reveals.

Under the New Covenant in Messiah, the Torah is no longer external alone - it is written within, inscribed on the heart, transforming us from the inside out. The danger is that many remain bound to the form while never perceiving the substance, mistaking the outer structure for the life it was always meant to hold.

Torah points to Messiah, and Messiah points to Torah, and both are directing us to the Father and to His Way, Truth, and Life. This way is not merely a set of rules; it is a state of alignment with His Spirit. When we enter that oneness, the Torah becomes a living guide within us. And in Messiah - who embodies the way, the truth, and the life - we are brought into the right Spirit, able to journey into the depths of Spirit and Truth transformation, where the inner life aligns with the eternal order of the Kingdom.

Even the very word Torah reveals this purpose. From the root yarah, meaning “to point” or “to direct,” it speaks of guidance toward a target beyond itself. Torah was never the destination; it is the directional sign in the physical realm pointing toward a greater spiritual reality. And the One it points to - Messiah, the Anointed One, the Door, the Way - is the conduit of divine life, anointing and consecrating us to live in harmony with the eternal truth it reflects.

So do not merely revere the sign or stand in awe of the Door. Step through and enter into Spirit and Truth, into the union with YHWH that transforms you from the inside out, until the outer and inner are one. Shalom! 👑💜🕎

Questions For Reflection:
1. Am I stopping at outward obedience or outward belief, or am I allowing it to lead me into the Spirit-and-Truth reality it represents?
2. Has my walk with YHWH transformed my heart to reflect His character, or just improved my ability to follow rules or quote Scripture?
3. If Torah is meant to point the way, am I truly following where it leads — through the Door, into oneness with the Father?

Rooted & Risen Within

I noticed a clip going around tiktok of Lizzie Morgan singing the line from the song Alpha and Omega: “We give You all the glory…”

Many of us have loved to hear and sing that song, and those words. But a lot of words and familiar phrases ring empty for me unless I can perceive the true meaning and application behind it.

So I found myself needing to pause and break it down, and extract the real meaning, the substance, the living application.”

What am I actually saying when I say, ‘YAH, I give You all the glory’?

The Hebrew word kavod / kabod (כָּבוֹד) is often translated as glory, but its essence goes beyond brilliance or praise as we tend to perceive it.

In its original context, kavod refers to heaviness, honor, and substance, often tied to tangible, physical weight, like that of military equipment for war, that of treasure, or the presence of YHWH Himself.

The word is formed by four pictographic Hebrew letters: Kaf, Bet, Vav (Uau), Dalet.
• Kaf (כ) is an open palm, representing covering, giving, or submission. A sign of a hand that blesses or receives.
• Bet (ב) is a house or dwelling—symbolizing the inner space, the heart, or the place where presence lives.
• Vav / Uau (ו) is a hook or nail, representing connection, covenant, or something being secured.
• Dalet (ד) is the door—signifying access, movement, transition, or invitation.

Possible word-picture Interpretations of Kabod:

1. “A hand covers and blesses the house, securing the doorway of presence.”

YAH’s open hand (Kaf) blesses and covers the inner dwelling (Bet), securing it (Uau) so that the doorway (Dalet) can be a path of access for the weight of His presence to dwell.

Glory is what happens when the inner space is prepared, protected, and connected to divine movement.
The kabod of YHWH doesn’t come randomly, it rests where there’s readiness for it.

Another option:

2. “A willing vessel (hand) makes room (house) for covenant (hook) that opens the way (door) to the sacred weight.”

This is a call to cooperation with glory. Not just receiving it, but preparing yourself to carry it rightly.

The kabod of YHWH doesn’t just visit, it abides in hearts and houses that are secured by covenant and opened in humility.

We become the living structure that carries His weight through our surrender.

So the conversation abou Kabod isn’t just about the presence of YHWH, it’s alo about the preparedness to host Him.

It is the hand extended in surrender…The heart made into a house…The connection between faith and obedience…And the open door that says, “Come in, and fill this space with Your weight.”

Isaiah 42:8

“I am YHWH; that is My name; My glory (kabod) I give to no other, nor My praise to carved idols.”

This verse is not about withholding glory from His children—it’s about refusing to give ownership of honor to idols or false sources. He guards the purity of His kabod.

John 17:22

“The glory (kabod) which You gave Me, I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.”

The glory Yeshua received as the Son—the honor, the presence, the divine weight—was never intended to be hoarded. He gives it to us, not for titles or applause, but to bring us into union with Him and the Father. His glory isn’t about making us objects of praise —it’s about making us one with the One we give our praise to…reflecting His glory as Sons.

Colossians 1:27

“Messiah in you, the hope of glory.”

We carry His presence—the seed of kabod—within us. We become a dwelling place for it.

“And the house was filled with the cloud, even the house of YHWH. So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of Elohim.”
—2 Chronicles 5:13–14

In the days of Solomon, the kabod—the weight of presence—descended so heavily that the priests couldn’t even stand. The house was filled. The structure was ready, s oYHWH came in.

But now… the temple is not made of stone.

“Do you not know that you are the temple of Elohim, and that the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you?”
—1 Corinthians 3:16

We are the house now. We are the dwelling prepared for His glory.

So when He fills us…When He entrusts us with kabod, we don’t distort it. We don’t take credit for it - We carry it, and we return it to him.

So Saying “I give You all the glory” is a recognition of the difference between:
• Ownership = “It’s mine. I’ll shape it, brand it, or build on it for myself.”
• Stewardship = “It’s Yours. I’ll carry it with honor, and return it to You whole.”

When you own a house, you can flip it, gut it, or repaint it however you want. But when you’re entrusted with a house to steward, you care for it in accordance with the Owner’s instructions. You’re accountable to preserve the integrity of what was entrusted.

So, when I say “I give You all the glory,” this is what I mean:

“I will faithfully steward what I’ve received from You and lay both the results and the praise at Your feet.”

I don’t take credit for the weight you have given me to carry. I bear it, I steward it and I return it to you, in praise of your Set-Apart Name.

Shalom! 👑💜🙌🏽

Rooted & Risen Within

Thankful to have this Sabbath off to rest, it’s been a minute. It’s a blessing to cease from physical labor, it’s a blessing to cease from the internal labor of wrestling with the layers of this life…that’s the rest, the eternal rest that the Eternal one desires us to enter into all 7 days a week, drawing from His Spirit within us in Mashiach (the anointing of the Spirit within). On Sabbath we cease in order to practice both realms of rest. But in Egypt, in Pharoah’s system, when we sometimes find ourselves unable to rest from physical labor, we are blessed in Mashiach, that nothing can keep us from entering in to the place of peace prepared for us within…we just have to press into it. Shabbat shalom beloveds, enjoy! 💜👑🕊️
