Connecting Through Literacy. This Channel provides literacy inspired entertainment to connect us all and information about the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation literacy initiatives.
Founded by Caroline Jane Knight, Jane Austen’s fifth great niece, the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation connects a world-wide grass roots community of people who believe in the power of literacy and want to help those who need it, particularly at this time of international education crisis.
The Foundation is a registered not for profit organisation run by volunteers and our mission is to Connect Through Literacy.
We run online literacy activities that connect people across the world. We connect Literacy Mentors with students, writers and families. We connect donors with the literacy programs we fund in developing communities, which in turn connect children with the world around them.
