Hey!! I continue to live. Here's a bit on what's going on with me and my future plans.
I had a rough 2025, which required me to take a long break in the midst of working on my Modelland review- I read that book in like, april, and had started the review by may. I'm happy with the end result though, as it is the longest review for a single book I've ever done and I still didn't talk about everything.

I hope 2026 will be easier for me health wise. Youtube HATES me not releasing videos constantly, but youtube is gonna have to deal with it. Still, I hope you'll get more than 2 book reviews this year!!

Coming up:

1. I have filmed a rambling little '2025 year in review of reading' video, when I get the will I'll quickly edit that. I read um. 10 books. Last year. Woof!

2. I read Oro&Grim (Lightlark 3.5) in december and am over 10k into my review! I am working hard. It's..... oh boy. It's SUCH an odd book while being exactly what you'd expect. It fumbles everything in new exciting ways.

3. Lightlark 4 (Crowntide) is in my house and I will read it next. This is so much lightlark in a row but I want to keep up before she publishes 16 more in the next 3 months or whatever.

4. I hope to squeeze in, perhaps, some reading that is good as a cleanser. Usually my 'good book' break isn't something I am interested in writing a full review for, which is good, because it's the reviewing that takes so much time: On average, I find I write 1,000 words an hour for a review, so something like Modelland took at least 40 hours!

5. ........Alex aster is releasing an adult fantasy book called Starside in like, april, and yea I DO want to read it, so I may well wind up covering 3 aster books in a row. WOOF.

6. Other books I may look to reading this year, but we will see since it is so far off:
-Blood of Hercules seems so dumb.
-I am interested in Age of Scorpius but feel it's gotten very weird with everyone reporting on the author's every move, plus there's a rewrite coming I hear, so...?
-There's this ya triology I've had in my house forever called The Cage where it's about humans in an alien zoo and I really want to see what that's like
-House of Night seems like it'd take a ludicrous amount of time and effort to cover in full, but also is a siren song to me, especially because I have distinct memories of my friends reading it in... elementary school. I read part of the first book when I was like, 10! I was a little hater even then and stopped early. From what I've heard of the content, that was an insanely young age to read that series, but it also shows kids SURE WILL just read whatever huh.

Hello!! You're hearing from a PHONEFUL FIEND. My Hell Followed With Us review is finally live! It fully spoils the plot, BUT has a spoiler cut off— to make it watchable whether or not you'll ever read it. Fun body horror and trans metaphors meets some questionable social justice fixation. I still liked it, but it's an interesting one.

Next up is unwind, which is a five book series. My review is already about two hours and I haven't read/reviewed two of the books! This will be a live primere, and lots of fun: also, forst one shot on new camera!!!

This has been my check in. I've had a bit of a slow start to the year, and I can't promise I'll be lightning fast: it's been very rough for me health wise, but I'm working at my pace and appreciate you all!

WHOAH!!!
We more than met my goal. Way, way more than I would have ever guessed. Thank you so much! I'll be getting a new camera ASAP and film something bonus when I do.

In the meantime, let me drop information on what I've been working on: Hell Followed With Us (100% done), Unwind Quartet (about 70%), and then All For The Game (Not started). I wanted to get them all done about the same time as a staggered release, but it was always a lofty ambition.

(For the curious: HFWU was great. Unwind actually slaps so hard and I love it. I have absolutely no idea what I'm in for with AFTG)

-I film on my phone. It just broke.
-I am disabled and live mostly on benefits
-Buying a nice phone with a nice camera would mean my videos would be nicer.

CHANNEL ANNIVERSARY (and more)

Hello! I don't post here too often, and it's fitting I'm posting about something very late. My first video that really kickstarted this channel was September 21 (Do you remember? The 21st night of September??), the Lightlark video! Well, just in time for its year anniversary, it hit HALF A MILLION VIEWS. That's incredible! Me talking, without any good fancy editing (thank you so much my editor Astrological, or Nathan!), has pulled so many views. I hope everyone's enjoyed how the channel has grown since then, from my first burst of content from older reviews to now, where I'm taking longer but writing up fresh, wild little journeys...

I missed the day-of posting because I've been moving to a new flat, but we're finally properly settled in. You'll see it in the next video (OH BOY IS IT SOMETHING), and a 'bonus' video of me unboxing my entire book collection is also coming soon.
