Frya is one of the most versatile artists to come out of Africa in recent years. The Zimbabwean singer-songwriter based in South Africa has crafted her genre-bending sound through her nomadic lifestyle. This diverse, pan-African soundscape is reflected in her latest release Lifetimes(deluxe). A balance of Afrobeats, Afropop&Amapiano, from her debut album Balance you see the artists growth lyrically and vocally showcasing her growth and versatility. Her career was launched after posting a cover of an Adele song on Instagram when the Executive Producer for the SABC reached out and asked her to write and record the title track for the show Side Dish. This was followed by the release of her debut EP โDotsโ she went on to do the theme song for hit Netflix show Blood & Water. Leading to more sync placements on shows like Jiva, The River, The Kingdom, Lockdown and movies like Glamour girls and Fight like a girl.
