# Thoughts Become Lyrics, and Lyrics Become Songs.
Busan Haerirang’s songs often begin with a sentence or scene—a name, a street in Busan, starlight, wind, laughter, pain, or an everyday moment.
I decide who is singing and who the song speaks to, then shape the story into singable lyrics and a memorable chorus hook. From there, I explore K-Trot, blues, rock, hip-hop, jazz, and Arirang-inspired styles, choosing BPM, instruments, vocal tone, and delivery before using Suno and KP Music to bring the song to life.
Then I listen, keep what works, revise what feels awkward, and generate again. For adaptations, I preserve melody, line count, syllable flow, and key hooks.
AI does not simply make the song for me. It grows through conversation, listening, choosing, and refining.
Idea → Lyrics → Generation → Listening → Revision → Regeneration
This is the musical playground of Busan Haerirang.

<< How Busan Haerirang Creates Songs >>
1. Start with a sentence or a scene
Songs often begin not with a complete story, but with a short phrase or a vivid moment.
“You did well”
“Starry Night Live”
“When I look up at the night sky alone”
“Can the wind be shown to the eye?”
I first hold onto a phrase, a person’s name, a street in Busan, starlight, the wind, or a live-stage scene, then explore whether it should become the title, the chorus hook, or the starting point of the whole song.
2. Decide the narrator and the situation
I first decide who is singing and who the song is speaking to.
The tone and emotion change depending on whether the song is about comforting oneself, encouraging someone, or enjoying a moment together with an audience.
So throughout the writing process, I keep checking who the narrator is and who the words are directed toward.
3. Put the story into words first
At the early stage, I focus more on what I want to say than on syllable count or structure.
The Verse shows the situation,
the Pre-Chorus builds emotion,
the Chorus repeats the core message,
and the Bridge brings a change in feeling.
I first let the story come out fully, then remove what is unnecessary.
4. Check the logic of the lyrics
I do not look only at whether the words sound beautiful.
I check whether the lines contradict each other, whether the emotional changes feel natural, and whether a real person would actually say those words in that situation.
The lyrics should work as one connected story, not just as a collection of pretty lines.
5. Turn explanations into lyrics
Explanatory sentences are changed into scenes and actions whenever possible.
Instead of directly saying, “I feel lonely and tired,” I try to show a scene that lets the listener feel the loneliness.
I prefer words that are easy to sing and easy to understand over overly decorative expressions.
6. Find the core chorus hook
The chorus is especially important in Busan Haerirang’s songs.
“You did well”
“Sori is here”
“Ari Ari Arirang, Arariga natne”
“Sseuri Sseuri Sseurirang, Sseurariga natne”
I look for short, memorable phrases that feel natural when repeated.
A strong hook should be easy to pronounce, rhythmically clear, connected to the title, memorable, and easy for listeners to sing along with.
7. Organize the song structure and line count
The basic structure is adjusted depending on the song.
[Intro]
[Verse]
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
[Final Chorus]
[Outro]
Performance songs may bring in the chorus early, while lyrical songs may build emotion more slowly through the Verse.
For cover or adapted songs, I try to preserve the original line count, structure, and key hooks as much as possible.
8. Match syllables to the melody
When a melody already exists, the goal is not simply to translate the meaning, but to create lyrics that can actually be sung naturally.
I check syllable count, stress, long vowels, pronunciation, and breathing.
The final standard is not just numerical accuracy, but:
“Does it sound natural when sung over the original melody?”
9. Blend genres
I experiment with combinations of K-Trot, blues, rock, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, Arirang-inspired music, and more.
Rather than simply listing genre names, I define specific musical elements.
For K-Trot, I may emphasize bends, vibrato, two-beat rhythm, and repetitive hooks.
For blues, I focus on guitar tone and chord movement.
For rock, I focus on the power of the drums and guitars.
The key is to make clear which genre leads and which one supports.
10. Choose BPM and vocals
The same lyrics can feel completely different depending on BPM and vocal style.
Slower songs leave more emotional space, while faster songs use shorter lines and stronger repetitive hooks.
The vocal setup may be male, female, duet, or a mix of rap and singing.
In duets, I often prefer call-and-response exchanges rather than simply dividing the song into separate parts.
11. Build prompts for Suno and KP Music
The prompt includes more than just the genre.
I specify:
* BPM
* Rhythm
* Main instruments
* Vocal tone and singing style
* Strength of the chorus
* Callouts and responses
* Pronunciation and diction
* Mixing and mastering
Clear Korean diction and clean syllable separation are especially important.
If a prompt becomes too long or contains conflicting instructions, the musical direction can become unclear, so I set clear priorities.
12. Listen to the generated song and revise it
After AI generates the song, I listen carefully and check:
* Does the intended genre come through?
* Is the pronunciation clear?
* Are any lyrics missing or repeated unnecessarily?
* Is the chorus strong enough?
* Is the song too long?
* Do the melody and syllables fit naturally?
If there is a problem, I do not rewrite everything from the beginning.
I keep the melody and structure I like and revise only the parts that need fixing.
13. Reduce unnecessary length
AI-generated songs can become longer than expected because of repetition and instrumental sections.
I usually aim for around four to five minutes.
Repeated ideas are reduced, Verse or Pre-Chorus sections may be shortened, and the Final Chorus focuses more on the main hook than on adding new explanations.
The goal is not simply to make the song shorter, but to keep the emotional core while removing unnecessary words.
14. Listen again and fix only what is needed
I rarely decide on a final version immediately.
I listen again and look for problems such as:
“The K-Trot feeling is too weak.”
“The chorus is not strong enough.”
“The lyrics sound too explanatory.”
“This word is hard to pronounce.”
“The adapted version has too many lines.”
When I find a problem, I do not throw away the entire result.
I keep the melody, hook, expressions, and instrumental ideas that work, and revise only what needs improvement.
As a result, one song may develop into several different versions, such as a K-Trot version, blues version, duet version, or English adaptation.
< Busan Haerirang’s Creative Process >
I begin with an idea or a scene, develop it into lyrics, and check the narrator and the flow of the story.
Then I define the main chorus hook and song structure, design the genre, BPM, instruments, vocals, and singing style, and generate the music with AI.
I listen to the result and evaluate the melody, pronunciation, genre balance, song length, and chorus strength, then revise only the parts that need improvement.
For adapted songs, I try to preserve the original melody, line count, syllable flow, and key hooks as much as possible.
**Idea → Lyrics → Structure & Style Design → AI Generation → Listening & Evaluation → Partial Revision → Regeneration**
I repeat this process until the song feels complete.

Verse에서는 상황을 보여주고,
Pre-Chorus에서는 감정을 끌어올리고,
Chorus에서는 핵심 메시지를 반복하고,
Bridge
[Intro]
[Verse]
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
[Final Chorus]
[Outro]
* BPM
* 리듬
* 주요 악기
* 보컬 음색과 창법
* 후렴의 강도
* 추임새
* 발음과 딕션
* 믹싱과 마스터링
Final Chorus
