Hey! I'm Joel, I do Joel things, listed below. You've made it into the depths of my channel description, so you might consider subscribing! That's support enough, but if you'd like to support further there are links below where you can do that! All support goes directly towards better camera gear, car parts, and fuel!
I upload weekly on Friday at 3pm.
Things might include:
-Camping
-Offroading (to get to sick camps)
-Road Tripping
-Working on the fleet.
-Sometimes other stuff

The video (to be released here on Friday) about fixing my trailer mistakes can be watched now on Patreon for free!
www.patreon.com/posts/early-access-ad-127600944
Aside from early access to videos, the other major content benefit I'm offering is access to nearly all the future behind-the-scenes footage. Basically everything I'm not seen in the nude in. The footage for this Friday's trailer refurb video can be found here:
www.patreon.com/posts/bts-footage-for-127588330
These first two posts are completely free to everyone, however there is also a 7-day free trial available. In addition to that, if you continue to be a free member, you'll get access to one BTS video per week.
I want to make sure I'm transparent about my strategy here; this channel will not change, aside from the occasional mention of ways you can support me, and I don't even intend to mention that until YouTube Memberships are live. I also don't even intend to push paid memberships hard at that point, I'm thinking a mention when I suggest you subscribe near the end of videos, as I've done for a while now.
To reiterate, no currently free content will be locked behind a paywall. The full list of benefits can be found at the Patreon but, in short, it'll include early access to the weekly videos, behind the scenes' footage, as well as a few ways to support me further.
In the continued interest of being transparent, my reasoning for launching this now is that I'm approaching 500 subscribers (many thanks, btw!). At 500 subscribers, the channel will unlock YouTube Memberships, and I wanted to get ahead of the curve and make sure that there's some existing footage available for new members. I also wanted to work out some of the kinks, such as discovering that Patreon's built-in video player is awful, so I will continue to host on YouTube, so Patreon members aren't having a degraded experience. I also wanted to mention YT memberships here, so if someone prefers them, they know to wait until those are live instead of jumping over to Patreon. Content parity will be 1:1 between YT Memberships and Patreon, once YT Memberships are live.
Thanks for reading, thanks for your support whether you're a subscriber here or you decide to support me further, and thanks for checking out the Patreon!

Do you prefer a little sneak peak montage at the start of a video (like I used to do often), or would you rather me just introduce it and say what we're doing without a sneak peak (like I've been doing recently)?

UPDATE: WE MADE IT HOME
Do you have a wheel/tire I could borrow? We blew a tire, and don't have a spare. We managed to make it 75 Miles towards home on the rim before it failed, and now we're really stuck, as everywhere was/is closed.
Specs are: 5x4.5/5x114.3 bolt pattern. Size was 165/80r13 but anything with that bolt pattern in a similar size would work.
Appreciate your time, should make a good video at least eh

Video soon™️(probably the 25th)
If you've been watching for a while you might recognize this aqueduct. This time we're back with Leah, Menko, and a trailer full of wood and a fridge (soon also a 75" TV)
If you haven't seen it, check out the Bowron Lake Circuit video, it was nice to reminisce for me - https://youtu.be/Sopc0cWXMQs
The fire started going better after taking these photos, I promise.

Video a Week From Friday (April 11th)
Menko the cat's first camping trip - she complained at first, but she seems to be having a good time now. Also, the first time we've hauled the trailer this far (600+ miles round trip)

Join me Friday to discover how I spent my time NOT fixing the power steering leak. It's time to drop the rack, but not before we take it on a 700 mile road trip!
Watch me discovering that it's still leaking: youtube.com/shorts/YY1QbZ6nW2E

Would you tune in live for a monthly livestream on the last Friday of each month at 3pm pacific time?
I would choose a topic to cover, such as the source of my love of cars, or one of my hobbies that's less covered on my channel like my musical talents or 3D Printing, or even something y'all suggest. We'd do a deep dive on that thing, including Q&A of course, plus general Q&A about previous videos or whatever y'all want to know.
My main concern with this idea is that it wouldn't be fun or entertaining if no one tuned in live, hence this poll existing. Maybe this idea needs to simmer until the channel gathers more of a following.
There are two reasons behind my desire to do this. The first being that I love live media; I tune into SNL, and enjoy LTT's weekly WAN Show. I think it'd be fun to produce my own live show. The second is because I could use a monthly break. Making these videos while working a full time job is a lot of work, and as my standards increase, it becomes more and more work. Being able to prep a short document before going live would mean I could relax for the rest of the week (or work on other projects)
Couple of notes: I am not open to making fewer videos. The weekly upload schedule works for me, personally, I need deadlines, and don't want to get out of the routine. I'm also not open to making lower quality content, which is part of the reason I'm asking this, I want to make sure that it's interesting and entertaining.
Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote or leave a comment if your answer is more nuanced!
