Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan has backed his team to continue playing aggressive T20 cricket after their six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the first T20I at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Sahibzada Farhan led the chase with 89 off 53 balls, while Maaz Sadaqat scored 50 off 29 deliveries as Pakistan chased down Sri Lanka’s 183-run target in the 19th over.

Praising Fakhar Zaman’s start and Maaz Sadaqat’s support, Sahibzada Farhan said he was confident his team would maintain the same approach. He also acknowledged that Pakistan conceded too many runs in the middle overs, praised Maaz’s current form, and lauded debutant Mohammad Imran Randhawa for taking two wickets.

Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the second T20I at the same venue on 11 October.
