Wow. I wasn’t even concerned about this ban because I do not use TikTok. But I’ve discovered that the editing app, CapCut, is under the same ban due to it also being owned by the same Chinese company, ByteDance. 😒 CapCut has always been the app I used to edit my YouTube videos. I haven’t used anything else since I started my channel. So, this information was very disheartening for me. I had just gotten started on some important content when I acquired this new information. Thankfully, all of my projects are still there. I just can’t use the app. Nothing has been deleted. ( knock on wood )
What actually concerns me more is now knowing that CapCut has been owned by ByteDance. It’s a bit unnerving to me.
However, soon-to-be U.S. President, Donald Trump, has signaled that he is interested in reassessing the situation once he is sworn into office on Monday. There is a possibility we will not need to worry. If some other company will buy these platforms, they will become available to the U.S. again.
Anyway. I’m debating what I’m going to use as an alternative until further notice. The first editing app I ever used was iMovie. But that was A LONGGGG time ago. If anyone has recommendations, please feel free to share!
In the meantime, I have a couple of small videos that I’ve already finished. Keep an eye on my community post for more updates.

Update! We got hit with a HUGE snow storm!
This picture of Rigel is from Saturday when I went to check on him before the weather got bad. Wanted to make sure the ol’ man was ready for the snow.
He and his barn buddies are all snuggled up in the barn!
