I review your Canadian immigration application the way an IRCC officer will before you submit. The gaps, contradictions, and missing evidence a checklist never catches.
I'm Bella Li, RCIC-IRB (R1040943), founder of Langille Immigration β a boutique practice in Kingston, Nova Scotia. I make these videos to cut through the noise of Canadian immigration across the four pathways I work in every day:
β
Express Entry
β
Spousal Sponsorship
β
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)
β
Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
ποΈ Application Review β‘ a final read of your finished file by a licensed RCIC-IRB. Express Entry, Spousal, or NSNP: errors caught here, not by an officer.
ποΈ Consultation β‘ not sure which pathway fits, or just starting out? A focused one-on-one to map your options and what's realistic.

Let me try to talk you out of a booking for a minute.
Not everyone needs an application review. The honest list is on the card, and if that's you, truly, application review is not for you.
And if you're unsure, I'm here.

Nova Scotia announced this morning that the NSNP will start charging application fees on September 1.
The part people are going to miss: it's not tied to when you submitted your EOI. It's tied to when you get selected for assessment. If your selection letter lands on or after September 1, you pay, even if your EOI has been in the pool since last year.
And then the clock starts. Worker streams get 7 calendar days from the selection notice to pay. Miss it and the EOI closes and you're back in the pool.
$1,000 for the worker streams, $2,000 for entrepreneur. Not refundable, no waivers, no instalments. AIP is unaffected.
Swipe through for the whole thing. Official update is on liveinnovascotia.com under Program Updates, dated today.

The new video on NSNP work experience is up on the channel now.
Here are five checks from it, in one swipe. Every one of these is something I've seen surprise a careful, honest applicant. If any of them made you pause, the full breakdown is ten minutes on the channel page.

Quick question before Thursday's video.
You worked 60-hour weeks at your Nova Scotia job for a full year. For Nova Scotia: Express Entry, how many of those hours count toward your work experience each week?
Vote, then check back Wednesday. I'll pin the answer.

One week since the NSNP job offer video went up. Here are the four places a Skilled Worker offer gets refused, in one swipe. Every one of them sits on the employer's side of the file, which is exactly why most applicants never check. If any card made you pause, the full breakdown is ten minutes: https://youtu.be/SslWIOLQ6WA

Meet Priya. She's not real, I made her up. But I see files like hers all the time.
Priya cooks at her cousin's restaurant in Dartmouth. The restaurant opened last spring. Her offer: $22 an hour, 35 hours a week, one-year contract. Her language scores are strong and she has four years of kitchen experience.
She's ready to submit her NSNP Skilled Worker application. What's your read?

You did the hard part, and you probably did it well. But when I review a file, the problems are sometimes not on the applicant's side. They're in the offer. The wage line, the hours guarantee, whether the employer can sponsor at all. You'd have no reason to know to check those. I'd rather go through them with you before you submit than have an officer find them after.
If you've got an offer in hand and you're not sure it clears the bar, the link to book an application review is here: bookaconsultationwithbella.as.me

πΊ New video is up. Four reasons NSNP Skilled Worker applications get refused over the job offer itself. Not the applicant. The offer.
