I'm thinking of getting a new camera and lens for my birthday in a few months, does anybody know if the Sony ZV-E10 + Sony 70-350mm lens combo is good? Or the Canon EOS R5? I want a new camera mainly for more megapixels/quality (24mp, rather than just 18), as well as for better iso and just a camera with more features in general, and the lens to take contrail photos or high zoom photos, but also wide enough so I can catch whole planes up close. What do you guys think? I might also think about taking videos so I'm hoping its good for that as well.

I know this has been a big thing in the aviation community recently, so I think it’s time I talk about it.


Ive realized recently (same as others), that aviation content is going downhill, so let me talk about it. People recently have been posting absolute slop, such as disrespectful edits and brainrot memes. For example, I feel that there has been an increase of plane crash edits, which if used correctly it could be fine, but how these people are putting it makes it seem like disrespect. And I know they may not be intending it to be like this, but you also cant draw the line. Like people are out here probably making money off of editing plane crashes. The second thing I would like to talk about is brainrot and low-effort edits. So people are making trends, such as “Ishowspeed crashing a plane”, which nobody would probably like to watch. And not saying the content is bad, it’s just that it’s not a great topic to make a video on. And with low-effort edits, like some peoples channels are basically based off of templates, or very low quality edits. And they know this, but don’t feel like putting in more effort. And the worst thing about this all, is that they keep doing it because that’s how they get lots of views. Like there are multiple big editors and good people out there (including me), that don’t make this disrespectful and slop content, and although we might not get the most views, we actually care about effort and people enjoying our videos. And the community has kind of been going downhill as well, as there has been tons of beef going on and disrespect. And I know many of you know the one channel that screen recorded and posted other videos without consent, which is just a great example of low-effort. I feel like we need to fix these problems, and get the aviation community to how it was even just like a year ago. Maybe start using the hashtag #healaviation or continue using #peakaviation, idk. But please just help us in healing the aviation community, and get it back to how it used to be.
