Anti-A.I. Allegiance

Soooo still alive. No real progress really because well, I got a job--like one I have to go outside for.

In all honesty, between whatever big editing project was going on at the time and my software ruining my progress on the latest Earthbound video, I've had NO motivation to plan for anything for this channel. Editing been a hobby for the longest time because it was chill way to pass time--until I began having to challenge myself more to stick with it. And well, I've grown used to editing so I wanna find another way or so to challenge myself in order to grow more.

Plus with the worry of video files and audio going bad like what happened to Earthbound, I just grew to realize I'd rather spend months on 4 minutes of video than months on 4 hours of a video. Put simply, I got no plans here anymore. Lack of time, lack of ideas, and I gotta make a pay.

What brought this up was an email asking if I'd keep doing this--which thank you for returning here for remembering the fun times, and that goes for you all reading this. I probably won't abandon this channel completely, if I ever animate a larger project, or am part of one, check back here. And maybe I'll revisit the idea i had for Earthbound highlights one day

One last thing, actually had a role in this year's TRG C.A.B. bumper for Colosseum! Okay so I was color assistance, but this was an amazing thing to do for charity, and ignited me wanting to animate even more.

Hey I'm doing fine here, just posting to show I'm still going

Real quick, bad news is Earthbound files can't be accessed so that project's been a halt--do want to finish it one day.
Good news is, if it wasn't public news already, Mega Man archives have been found and I'm in the middle of uploading.

I don't know what else can go on this channel like what I've been doing; without pay it's hard to finish a large project. Even Earthbound I'll finish, but it'll be a huge timesink so no way of knowing when it'll be done. Hopefully next year I'll have a better idea what to do here.

Aaanyway enough about me, there's going to be an Extra Life stream for Pac Mania to end the year--at the time of this posting, should be live in a few hours! Here's the link to Ben's Twitch for the stream!

Heeyyy soooo yeeaaahh.
In short, no one could've guessed how this year'd go

Okay ripping the bandage quick, the charity livestreams have NOT entered editing yet. Due to stuff beyond my control, if you catch my drift, I've made no progress editing anything heavy in recent times--except stuff for a friend but I digress

On top of this, I'm going back to redo the first part of Earthbound that's already up. I've done "full" versions of highlights before, but looking back the quality was NOT what I wanted for it with too much small issues piling up from my old PC gunking up the process.

HOWEVER


I said "old PC." I finally built an editing rig and, put simply, a TON of issues that brought down Part 1 is taken care of. What this means for the vid is audio will not crackle, a few cuts will be altered but otherwise when the full version is out--which I'm doing instead of uploading a part 2--you won't notice a lot in part 1. I mean it's gon be a ton of work for me to re-record all of the streams AND re-cut them WELL IN THAT CASE it's back to normal huh

Alright I'm usually for "no news is good news" but let's bring this news around


First and foremost I've animated for another collab video, albeit on a smaller scope. Still it was my first anim done complete on Clip Studio so I'm already pleased with how I'm progressing! I'll drop the link as soon as it's uploaded on their channel--trust me, you'll know my part when you see it.


Now for what you'd been wanting to hear: I'm currently editing up the stream highlights for Earthbound LIVE Withmuhco-host Nathan, and in fact I've already finished combing the whole thing! Second phase of editing will start soon, but I've been trying a new process in editing things up in hopes to make the process easier on me. Also one more thing but I'll keep it a surprise for now...


Finally, a question: I've had to split the project into two parts and they're clocking in at 1 and 1/2 hours each. How should I upload the highlights? should they be smaller parts like by fours--should they stay two halves...or should it just be ONE BEEFER

Heya, doing fine? I'm doing fine.


So I knew I wanted to highlight that run of Celeste here, and I knew how I edited it would be like the old SA2 stream version. However I didn't count on more ideas pouring in, like the audio editing and writing a script to put captions on--up to the viewer if they worked but I liked keeping the video simple yet strong editing wise. Here I put the other option I was going to make the thumbnail--I liked both too much to pick so the actual one won by a coin toss


As for the next video here--mm I don't know. Gonna have to stew on what I wanna do this summer and if I wanna make more long-term results...it's late so I don't have much to say on that front but I'll keep ya posted.
