Cultures of Resistance Films creates and distributes films that advance public awareness about issues of social and economic justice. Our documentaries show around the globe at major film festivals and grassroots events, screening in venues ranging from refugee camps and community centers to red carpet galas.
We view filmmaking not only as a way of documenting injustices but also as an important part of the effort to promote change. In addition to highlighting the work of Cultures of Resistance Films, this channel also features news about recipients of our Creative Activism Awards--artists, educators, farmers, and designers who are using their work to pursue social justice through creative expression.
