In Affinity on Windows, the default layer highlighting is VERY hard to see. But there is a fix!

If you change the Windows accent color it will take effect in Affinity.

In Windows, go to Personalization -> Colors and then View Colors to change the Accent Color. (You can also search for "accent color" in the Windows search bar).
