The beautiful thing about seasonal ingredients is that they always taste their best — and they’re usually at their cheapest too.
When produce is in season, it’s grown in abundance, picked at the right moment, and full of natural flavour. That means you don’t need to overcomplicate things.
When you cook with ingredients provided by Mother Nature at their peak, a little seasoning and gentle care is often all that’s needed to let the flavours shine.
Simple food. Honest cooking. Seasonal eating. Learn. Taste. Create

Chefs tip : immunity booster
Lots of us are down with the lurgy at the moment and of course you are what you eat and what you eat can help boost you immune system.
This easy recipe is packed full of goodness to help you fight off those colds and flu 🤧
You will need
Raw garlic , raw ( ideally local honey ) and 1 tablespoons spoon of raw organic cider vinegar
Pop your raw garlic into a fermentation jar , add a table spoon of the cider vinegar, and pour the honey on top … then leave it in a dark cupboard for 2-4 weeks - and it’s good for a year or 2 😃🧄
Take the garlic as it is , but I’m planning on putting mine on top of a grilled cheese sandwich 🥪

History of Eggs Benedict
Hey food lovers! Ever wondered where Eggs Benedict came from? This tasty brunch classic has a couple of origin stories, but here's a simple version:
The dish likely started in New York City. One popular story says it was created in the 1860s at Delmonico's Restaurant. A regular customer named Mrs. LeGrand Benedict wanted something new for lunch. The chef came up with the perfect combo: poached eggs, ham, and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin.
Another tale claims a man named Lemuel Benedict ordered a similar dish at the Waldorf Hotel in 1894 to cure a hangover. The hotel loved it and added it to their menu!
Whichever story is true, I think we are just glad Eggs Benedict exists! 🥚🍳

I’ll be in the forest lots this September , say hi if you see me , I’ll be the one on my hands and knees that looks like me 🍄🟫🍂
Thank you to @WildFoodUK1 for the hand book #foraging #mushrooms
