I do the deep dive into this legendary psychedelic rock band, discussing all of their albums from 1966 to 1973, their cultural impact and why I think they need to be part of the conversation whenever talking about the best and most important bands of the 1960s. I also tackle Paul Kantner and Grace Slick's side projects during this time period and ponder the soul of America at the end of the video…!!
In my long-awaited second video about the Paul Is Dead mythology, I reveal further evidence that the Beatles were behind its creation and discuss its inspirations from real-life motor accidents to LSD to author Lewis Carroll and his two Alice books (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass). I also do a deep analysis of how Paul Is Dead works as the Beatles’ Jabberwocky and break down several clues and hidden messages that follow an undeniable pattern. Finally, I reveal the true significance and identity of the walrus: John or Paul?
I explain why I prefer this 1981 sequel to the original and why I think the various creative decisions were spot-on. I also discuss the film’s production, screenwriting, cinematography, music score, the Italian horror “Giallo” influence, Carpenter’s reshoots, the sibling twist, the dark subtextual themes and what really drew Michael Myers to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital...!!
