On this day, one year ago, History of Humankind struck the earth!
We've been overawed by the response, thank you to all who've joined us on the journey so far.
So much more to come, including three episodes we're especially excited about this side of Christmas, but which has been your favourite episode so far?
Our journey continues on Wednesday, with History of Humankind's 10th episode. Thanks to all who've joined us along the way!
We're proud to announce Wednesday's episode features some incredible images of Lucy's discovery, kindly provided by the Institute of Human Origins to mark the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking find.
Lucy lived over 3 million years ago. She was a daughter, and a mother.
So, just how long have our ancestors lived in families? And why do we have them at all?

So far we've journeyed hundreds of millions of years, witnessed global catastrophes, survived an ever changing and dangerous world.
But.. we've only just begun to scratch the surface of our story.

Thanks to everyone for subscribing - we are just getting started. And a huge thanks to our outrageously talented artist Ettore Mazza for joining me on this channel too - from @HistoryoftheEarth to @HistoryoftheUniverse to @VoicesofthePast to @HistoryofHumankind, he can do EVERYTHING.
