Did you know this picture is not necessarily true … when it comes to African snakes? For example the Black Mamba does not have a diamond shaped head and it’s eyes are round in shape. It has been told you can identify a poisonous snake from a non poisonous snake by the shape of their head and their shape of their eyes as well as other features, but for some African snakes for example, that is not true. There are other ways to identify if the snakes are poisonous in the African region … but you would have to get mighty close to observe….and if you have to get that close to find out.. then you are in a world of issues! The Black Mamba is not the only African snake that has the "appearance" of a non poisonous snake, you also have the Green Mamba, Boomslang, Vine Snake ( Twig Snake) and many others! #snake #facts #animal #outdoors #fun #story #reptiles #wow #podcast
