Hey Guys, I have been putting this off for a while but big update in the fact that I’m quitting content creation permanently.
To explain why I’m doing this, we have to go back a month, when I had a conversation with the community manager, Maddy, that made me not only want to stop advertising their game, but also re-evaluate the best move going forward.
Now, I was rushing the community post the night this conversation happened and admittedly wasn’t very clear. I had received screenshots of a few individuals who don’t want me as a CC trying to spread rumours and lies about me. I thought this was just scare tactics, and I was correct, but I was only concerned because last time this happened, I didn’t even get a chance to say my side.
More importantly, though, I wanted to use it to start a proper conversation about what is going on with me and my CC application, and I finally got some definitive answers. The main thing is that I’m not going to be CC for the most ridiculous reasons that only Wargaming could pull out of their ass.
Firstly, no more English creators. Buddy, everyone knows English, so you can never have enough English CCs. English is by far the most used language around the world, and yet less than half your CCs are English-speaking, so that can’t be a legitimate reason.
Secondly, no more CCs for the time being. Apparently, there are too many CCs right now, and they have closed the program for the foreseeable future. This is yet another attempt to make sure the community isn’t heard (as we have seen with this complete disaster of an update), and you actually have about the same or slightly less CCs than you had before the exodus in late 2024, so this is yet another illegitimate reason. Another reason for closing the program is that they don’t have enough funds for more CCs. I think Wargaming forgot they are Wargaming and can just make more accounts. On top of that, you need more CCs now as you lost your 2nd, 3rd and 4th biggest CCs through the exodus. Thankfully, Terry is coming back and hopefully Boblyn soon, so that makes me feel better about quitting.
Thirdly, apparently, I’m a gacha creator milking this game for views. Tell me Wargaming hasn’t watched any of my videos without telling me if Wargaming has watched any videos. Some of my earlier videos were rants, and I worked with Maddy to make them constructive to help improve the game. Despite making my videos constructive, Wargaming thinks I’m just trying to farm views. Ah yes, my informative and entertaining videos to help this community are farming views. This is on top of the fact I asked Maddy multiple times, “Would you like me to take down these old videos that not even I like?” to no response, so I’m gonna keep them up for the occasional extra views. And obviously, we have to address the elephant in the room: why in the fuck would I choose Blitz, a game that gets barely any following, to farm views? The stupidity meets no bounds.
Ultimately, this led to me learning that Maddy, over the last year, has tried to get me into the CC program 3 times, and I have been declined 3 times internally. I am currently the only person to receive a test and then not get CC, which, by the way, they chose a Nazi to be CC over me just because they are German, despite already having a German CC.
I still have no idea of the true reason why Wargaming decided that they hate me, but it could be anything from my nationality/global politics to being paid off to not allow me into the program by a few individuals who don’t like me, nothing is off the table.
Either way, the above and a few more conversations since have made it clear that they don’t want me, despite all I have done for this game and its community.
I put a shit tonne of effort into helping this game and its community, with at least 16 hours a week doing everything from video creation, making some of the highest-level content on this game, to moderating. On top of this I spent a lot of money on this game to showcase all the new ships and on streaming equipment.
But unfortunately, it’s up to the morons inside Wargaming who gets accepted into the program, and me getting declined for a year shows the disaster of a state the CC and ST programs are in right now.
For that reason, I just can’t keep supporting this shoddy company for free.
I tried one last desperate attempt to get into the CC program by leaking something I was asked to by one of my many inside connections, to prove that there is no point not having me as CC if I’m going to know everything anyway. This last desperate attempt to get into the CC program was most likely to backfire, and it did, but it now leaves me with no choice but to quit, as knowing myself and how determined I am, I would just keep going.
This was not part of my original plan to get into the CC program. My original plan was basically to pump out an insane amount of content and grow to the point where I can’t be ignored and dismissed. I was asked by a final leaker to share the leaked information everywhere, which obviously changed things.
I have also just grown so much hatred for Wargaming’s terrible practices and don’t want to help them anyway. Plus, after doing extremely high-quality content for 2 years, I’m simply burnt out.
Through their stupidity, it is Wargaming’s loss, especially considering part of my plan to get into the program was 2 videos a week plus multiple shorts a week, plus all the other things I was doing and was going to do.
Obviously, I would love to keep going for you guys and the community, but I need out of the toxic relationship with Wargaming.
There will most likely be a few more videos I will make now that I don’t have to worry about maintaining a good image, but after that I am completely done with content creation.
There are many shorts which I have set to upload twice a week from today, which were part of my original plan. I may as well upload them for some final entertainment, but most of these are just clips from my previous videos.
I will still be around playing the game, just nowhere near as much as before, as well as hopefully continuing some services to this community.
The last thing I will say is: whatever you do, don’t try and get into the CC or ST program for this game, as it is decided from your first interaction if you will be let in or not, so don’t risk it. And don’t support Wargaming by giving them free help and advertisement.
Thankfully, I diversified my gaming, so I can easily spend less time on Blitz (and already have) and have more time to play other games with friends instead of having to say I can’t play as I’m doing videos or streaming. It’s just unfortunate that all this time I have put in has not led anywhere.
That’s all. Unfortunate it had to end this way, but I have decided to not sacrifice my time anymore for a company that so blatantly doesn’t care about its community. I’m glad I could help and provide entertainment to you guys for so long, but I have been preparing to quit since learning a month ago that Wargaming simply doesn’t like me and doesn’t want me in their program.
Hey guys, been a while, there will be a video next week explaining my plan moving forward but here is leaked Official Equipment Rework Part 2: wowsbd.vercel.app/
Hey guys, This week has been rough between dealing with false reports and being sick.
It all culminated today in a two-hour conversation with Maddy. At this stage, it looks like there’s no realistic path for me to enter CC in the foreseeable future, so because of that I’ve decided to stop creating content for the game from this point onwards.
There may be one more opportunity next week, and if that changes things I’ll reassess. But if not, this channel will stay up as an archive of everything we’ve built here. The discord server will stay up also for my possible return.
I’ll be honest, this has been difficult to process. Over a long period it felt like CC was always just around the corner, with multiple discussions, opportunities, and even a test (Hildebrand), which is a big part of why I kept putting tens of hours every week into content and community work. Right now that effort isn’t leading anywhere, despite being one of the most active in the space.
That doesn’t mean the door is completely closed forever, but with no visible path ahead at the moment, I don’t feel right continuing to actively promote the game.
Please go support my CC friend TC on his YouTube journey. He’s putting a huge amount of work into his content on his new channel and deserves the support: youtube.com/@TC307y/featured
Also, I had a video halfway through production. Since it probably won’t become a full video anymore, I’ll be posting the script with Update 9.2 explained, builds (note: don't take rudder on anything), and feedback instead: docs.google.com/document/d/1TrW95GWlG2FK3M2qZ_Url4…
That’s it for now and maybe I’ll see you in the next one. JJT15, out.
Hey Guys,
Time for a channel update, as many of you probably don't know what's been going on recently.
You've probably noticed that I've been uploading a lot of stream highlights and have missed a few weeks of videos. This was mainly because I've been busy with university assessments, including three group assignments (two of which I ended up carrying). Despite that, I have continued streaming as usual.
However, that will be changing shortly. I won't be streaming for the next three weeks as I'm heading into exam period, including two Saturday exams (when I stream).
After today's video, there will still be two stream highlight videos released over the next few weeks, including one featuring a world record. After that, uploads will return to their normal Monday schedule, with a big video planned for Monday the 22nd.
I've also started editing the 40+ videos I want to turn into Shorts. These will begin releasing during my break in about three weeks. The Shorts will be uploaded in chronological order, so the first few won't be Blitz-related and will feature some very old clips.
I also have something else big in the works that should be released later this month, but you'll have to wait and see what that is.
During my break, I'll also be catching up on all the missed content (five videos). These will be released on Fridays starting on the 26th. The videos currently on the list are Repulse (I've been sitting on some great gameplay for over two months now), Alvaro de Bazan (the ship you guys voted for), and Georg Hoffman (still waiting for Level 12 Muller).
That's all for now. I hope my Hyperion video is both helpful and enjoyable, and I'll see you all again in three weeks time.
Hey guys, I know I said there would be a proper video today, but most of the free time I had this weekend ended up going into div battles (we managed to easily place top 3). Yesterday, I also spent a couple of hours trying to record Tier 8 gameplay while the rental ship chaos was going on, but my fire RNG was absolutely awful the entire session. I did at least manage to get a 100k+ game in Vrijheid for a future video though.
Speaking of Vrijheid, I hope you enjoy today’s highlight, because it’s the current world record
Hey guys, Another stream highlight for today (I was on the fence about uploading it, but I wanted to give you guys a video today). I know it’s been a while since I’ve uploaded a proper video, but things are pretty full-on at the moment with assessment (and yes, I now owe you three videos as I missed last week😅).
There will be a video next week covering last month’s login ship Repulse (I wanted this out so much earlier), followed by a Bazan video that you voted for. After that, I’ve got a few ships that I previously reviewed that I want to revisit as part of a new series.
Upload timing over the next month and a half might be a bit inconsistent while I work through assessments and exams (I already know I’ll miss at least two videos and one stream). That said, everything I miss will be made up before the end of the year, most likely doubling up during the break between uni semesters (2 extra videos).
Anyway, hope you enjoy today’s stream highlight, and I’ll see you in the next stream.
Hey guys, As you would have seen, there was no Tuesday video again. It was meant to be today’s Puerto Rico video, but after a busy Saturday and a day out on Monday, I just couldn’t get it done. I then went in multiple days this week for my second job on top of my normal job and earned myself some good money. However, due to how much time these montage videos take to make and how little free time I’ve had this week, as I’ve also had assessments to do, today was the soonest I could get this video out.
I could still get an extra video done like I said I would on my week off uni, but I want a bit of a break and will just finish the video I was working on two weeks ago before I got sick. So I still owe you guys two videos. Anyway, I hope you enjoy today’s video, as I put a lot of effort into it.
Speaking of montage videos, I got myself Georg Hoffman, but I don’t know (and don’t really care) what type of video to do her on, so you guys can choose. Would you prefer Georg Hoffman to be a montage or a normal video?
Hey guys, As you would have seen, no video yesterday. I was busy last week with assessment, and when I set aside time on Monday to finish the video, I ended up with bad hayfever after work. I just didn’t feel like doing it, and the audio would’ve been pretty bad with how blocked up I was.
That makes two videos I owe you guys, but I’ll catch up on one during my mid-semester break next week.
Right now I’ve got the video I was working on and the next meme video planned, but after that it’s up to you guys. As usual, I’ll do them in order from most to least votes, skipping ones with very low numbers. I’ve also put ARP Haguro back in since it was in the regatta again.
Hey guys, Today there are two videos since the main video (below) is shorter than usual with only one gameplay. The other video is a compilation of unedited gameplay for all the Kongo clones, which I used footage from in the main video, so check it out if you want. It's also the 200th video 🎉
Also YouTube stuffed me around again today as neither video uploaded when they were supposed to. I even had to rewrite this community post because it somehow disappeared 😭 Thanks YouTube
As you would have seen, today’s video is a day late. This is intentional. As you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way to my first day of uni for my second year. I don’t have any classes on Mondays for at least the next four months, so because of that, I’d prefer to get any uni work I have over the weekend done first. Most weeks, I’ll only be able to get the video done by Tuesday.
So for at least the next four months, I’ll be uploading on Tuesdays instead of Mondays.
While on the topic of uploads, for those of you who recently subscribed during my uni break, I upload once a week when I’m not on break. As I mentioned in my subscriber special as well, I think this last break will be the last time I do two videos a week, unless I’m catching up on missed content. I can only realistically manage one video and one stream per week while at uni, as it is already very time-consuming, which I also explained in my subscriber special.
Now finally, it’s time for the next ship poll. I’ve been hinting at this for a while. You guys vote for the review you want most from the options below, and I’ll make them in order from most voted to least voted. I’ve included ARP Haguro again as it only got one vote last time. If it or any others get very low votes again, I won’t make that video.
These voted-for videos won’t start next week, but the following week. This gives you enough time to vote and gives me enough time to prepare the video after the results. I also have one more video I want to make first on a new ship I recently got.
So from the list below, pick the ship you want a video on the most:
