Halloween spooky season is coming up, so here's a painting of female pennywise (It the clown).
This painting/drawing was a STRUGGLE. I realize in this painting that there is still really ALOT I dont know about painting, rendering, light and shadows, anatomy, watercolor. Art runs so deep that I feel like there is never ending knowledge to learn. It makes me feel inspired but so very intimidated, I get discourged by it but I try to keep working despite the challenge. I guess by studying, I learned there is a lot that I dont know.
I wanted to challenge myself to create more contrast and shadows with this painting, but I got blocked with the fact that I dont naturally know how light will fall onto objects. Im ranting on, but I hope fellow struggling artist out there can relate. Let me know in the comments if you do and if you have tips you can share. Also Im thinking to join a patreon membership, but I dont know who would be worth it, let me know!
Will post the struggle/painting process next week. I just finished and it is already night time -this was really a tough one.

There's something about the story of this anime, that's so endearing. Maybe cause I can relate with Miyo's shyness and timidity?? There's this duality to her where she seems weak, but if you think about it, she was able to withstand bullying and neglect, still believe in love even after all of what happened to her. Maybe theres a little bit of trauma in everyone, but there's also resilience - so I feel like that's why I like this anime so much. ❤️

Shes so cute and I relate to her with her shyness but quiet determination. 😍 cause behind the scenes, I actually drew her one time already, did not like it, then practiced hands, hair and redid her face. I still think something is off (i'll go back and change her chubby cheeks hehe). Sound off in the comments your suggestions to improve her. 🥰
So, Im struggling with my WIP, cause this is the first time I'm doing a night space vibe with watercolor. And I wanted the skin and everything to be bathed in pinkish purplish hue, but it is not cooperating right now HAHAHA any tips to handle rendering?
Can I push through and trust the process on this one LOL???
