Artists on YouTube have a few hurdles to overcome.
1. Art takes a long time to make - We can't make multiple videos a week or even per month.
2. As artists, we value beauty. Beauty in the art we make, but also beauty in the videos we show to our audience. Each shot is carefully considered and we try to show our best in every shot. This takes time.
3. In a world where drama and judging others for human mistakes is what gets views, where does art get to flourish? I say the true drama is challenging yourself to create something beautiful, using your own personal filter to understand the world around you and being brave enough to show your vision is what takes true balls.
4. Most people think of art as "Snooty" and only know art as that expensive stuff that hangs in museums. Us art YouTubers are trying to change that perception and make it fun and accessible.
With all that being said, I'd love to invite you to watch @Kiptoe's amazing video about his latest mural. You can click on this video and immediately see he really cares.
