❌This is not a simple switch from one to the other, it takes time because most yo-yo Dieters have been acting through emotion for a long time.
🧠Aside from emotion it could also be a gap in nutrition understanding and knowledge.
A lot of people still don't know that you can have chocolate or crisps or jellies every day and still lose weight....
Still be perfectly healthy....
And FINALLY be able to stick to your nutrition plan long term.
✅YES some foods have more nutrients and less calories ✅YES some foods have less nutrients and more calories ✅And YES there are tons of foods in between
The longer you keep this myth of good foods and bad foods and thinking you have to choose between them going...
The longer you will be stuck on that yoyo diet cycle...
Losing and regaining weight over and over...
And continuing to have a worse and worse relationship with food.
😢 People often get fooled into thinking that nuts, nut butters or "protein balls" are a great source of protein...
The truth is that while they do have protein in them, they're most definitely not high protein foods and shouldn't be used as your main source of protein.
Lemme break it down for you.....
📊Here’s the nutrition breakdown for 100g of almonds:
😱SIDE NOTE: Did you know the L in aLmond is silent? Weird right? Anyhoo..
Calories: 579 Fat: 50g Protein: 20-21g Carbs: 21-22g ⬆️Variation depends on the nutrition database you use
🙌🏼Here is what’s clear from the breakdown: ⬆️They’re way higher in fats than protein ➡️They’re pretty much level between carbs & protein 😬You’d have to eat 579 calories to get 20g of protein
👐🏽The same can be applied to nut butters and those coffee shop protein balls.
⬆️Although those coffee shop balls are delicious and I do eat them, you still need to be aware.
🤔 So how do you know if a high protein food is ACTUALLY a high protein food?
FortuNUTely it's pretty simple....
1️⃣Look at the food label and locate protein, carbs and fats 2️⃣Protein should be the highest BY FAR and carbs & fats should be low 3️⃣Make sure the calories fit your plan/life 4️⃣Enjoy
🧠You can use this post as an opportuNUTy to learn and avoid this common mistake.
🤷🏽♂️AlterNUTively you could continue using these foods as a protein source and make getting results infiNUTely more difficult
You know what they say, doing the same thing over and over again is the definition of insaNUTy.

❌DON'T MAKE THIS WEIGHT LOSS MISTAKE ❌
There is absolutely nothing wrong with setting specific outcome goals.....
😬Although having a goal weight is a terrible idea in my opinion but that's a separate post😬
So many people who are trying to lose weight are far too vague with their goals or leave it up to hope....hope is where weight loss goals go to die. 💀
Decide specifically what you want:
➡️Lose X amount of weight
➡️Drop X clothes sizes
Then put all of your effort into the habits/processes that will get you there.
🧠Be smart about your habit goals you set & remember that starting small will make it stick long term.
💧If you get 500ml of water now then aim for 750ml for a week, then 1L for a week, then 1.25L etc....
📓Use that approach for all of your habits & use a habit tracker or calendar to keep track.
🗓️Hang your tracker somewhere you can see it every day and each day you tick the boxes.
❌Remember it's not about perfection it's about consistency.
💪🏽Stop hoping your goals will happen and start.
If you want all of this done for you then message the word HABITS and let's chat.
